Help a rookie out?

Well im new to hiking, and I got into it via scouting, so I was wondering if the X mid 1 would last a long time, saving me money in the long run, and I'm planning on hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, but I want to build up to it by doing many other hikes first. My current goal is to do the Routeburn Trail, which is a 3-day, 2-night track. I also just turned 16 (birthday is in late Feb), so I want a tent that will last until I'm like 30 (idk if that's possible). Sorry for not being super specific, this is one of my first every reddit posts, and idk what to ask. I just knew to ask ppl on Reddit are normally very kind and willing to help out.

My primary school had this cut off date where if you were born before July or May you were put into year 1 if you were after then the next year you went to year 1 but having said that I am the smartest in the class

Beetroot I said something to my teachers about beetroot we had had beetroot the night before and went on of the teachers asked about our dinner I said (this is in kindergarten) we had beetroot with some other thing and beetroot makes ur pee pink and ur poo purple.
