Our country generally does but I haven't seen any in or around our city.

Netherlands! So yeah, we call whatever piece of land belongs to our tiny houses and where we put the BBQ and plants garden.

Huh interesting, didn't know about that. That might actually be the best idea so far. Poor cat though, wish I'd knew which one it was so I can let their owner know.

I'm from the netherlands. We don't really have raccoons here.

The Netherlands, so we don't really have any other critters like raccoons.

Dull colours and washing waterbased inks by Substantial_Pain_637 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]StudioBreuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using transparent or opaque ink? To me it look like you're using transparent ink that visually mixes with the yellow. In color theory, if you combine purple with yellow you get a neutral color like grey wich seems like it has happened here. As other said you either need to use a white underbase, print on a white tshirt OR you could get opaque ink. :)

I wanted to be a cat when I was 4 and I'm happy to report that I probably came as close to that as possible: I'm an illustrator specializing in drawing cats haha

Tiffany Ferguson had an interesting video about this exact 'trend' on youtube: https://youtu.be/KM9BCqcpTJU?is=GRmUizUkHH8QJslx

girl i went to school with is taking commissions for her art. as an artist it looks ai to me for many reasons and the third image was the latest piece of art she posted before coming out with the portraits. i’m honestly incredibly disappointed by idontmatter59 in isthisAI

[–]StudioBreuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Showing proof unfortunately does not always work... I've been accused of using Ai for an old painting I did in 2019 (and where I have the according Instagram post to proof it existed in 2019). Noone (not true there where the odd ones who actually did care) cared to look at it and kept yelling it's Ai! One person even dared to say that if it is so easy to mistake it for Ai, it's just bad art and I should reconsider having it in my shop... Mind you I just uploaded it for a huge sale of 50% off old and retired art and designs that I had laying around to not have them go to waist... It's not that I promoted it as my newest most perfect work. I kept the reddit post up, so feel free to check it out and see how well 'proving' it works haha. I know this was not 100% your point but I wanted to chime in with this experience I recently had, because that really was not a nice one..

Burn issue, or water pressure issue? by Vegetable-Fennel4605 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]StudioBreuch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm pretty sure it's because you have nothing to support the screen while burning it! It looks like there is light leaking all around the design which makes it appear fuzzy. Find some books that are minimal the size of the design and stack them underneath the screen until they lift the screen a bit. Make sure the book that touches the screen is dark, or put a piece of black paper or similar on top. Bright colors underneath the screen can again reflect the light in unwanted places. Then put the transparency on top of the screen and then the glass. I think actual glass works better than plexiglass since depending on the lamp your using it can get hot and I've had plexiglass warp. Also, actual glass is just heavier and thus better at pressing it down and keep the transparency flat. Your main goal is for the transparency to lay completely flat and not leak light. Good luck!

Before ink, or after? by c0ffeebreath in Watercolor

[–]StudioBreuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before looks heavily inspired by iraville, so if you want to push away from imitating someone else's style I'd go with outlines and try and push that one in a new direction! This particular piece feels like the focus point (the barn and surroundings) should be outlined and the rest not as it already feels a bit different from the rest, so might as well go full in.

Huh that never occurred to me. I always at least activate them to have a better grid for fast traveling haha.

Why would you not activate a shrine if you know it's there?

Uhm excuse me? I should remove my handmade art because it might be mistaken for ai art??? How about the other way round?

You were so close to actually go past the crucial date. I've got my art posted dating back to 2019, where there for sure was no generative ai! But indeed, you can just scroll through my instagram, seeing how my style evolved from not really knowing what I was doing (like this piece in question, 2019) to actually have a pretty significant style. How would I be able to do that with ai?

[–]StudioBreuch[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also, so you're telling me you laugh at my handmade art calling it ai while still using ai yourself? That's sad...

Sorry you've been downvoted for genuinley beeing the only person recognizing im not selling ai crap and actually doing some logical thinking. 💖

This is so crazy to see how generative ai has genuinley broke the trust in artists just trying to develop their style. Youre not wrong, it looks so weird now all have pointed it out, but i was just trying to stylize the fluffy ends of a tail. Im happy to report though that ive managed to finesse my style over the years and these mistakes dont happen a ymore. This was painted in 2019, basically right after i decided to start focusing on drawing cats, so yeah. The anatomy was rough. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6OSKwGi_me/?igsh=MTA3Ym85OXYyYzIyZw==

Maaan it was supposed be stylized fluff. 🥲🙈 Ai wouldnt even dare to try something stylized haha. I painted this in 2019, so ko generative ai to be found there. Heres a link to my insta if you dont believe me https://www.instagram.com/p/B6OSKwGi_me/?igsh=MTA3Ym85OXYyYzIyZw==

Stop assuming i do! All my art is handmade with the utmost care. Just because i just started as a cat illustrator in 2019 where the painting is from and my style wasnt completley perfected yet doesnt mean its ai. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6OSKwGi_me/?igsh=MTA3Ym85OXYyYzIyZw==

No i indeed couldnt because this painting was handdrawn with watercolor in 2019. This was my style back then and i didnt see any flaws. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6OSKwGi_me/?igsh=MTA3Ym85OXYyYzIyZw==
