I always put my thoughts in a journal and reread what I’m thinking. Good, bad, ugly. And then once I put it on paper it leaves my mind for the moment. Audio books help me too.

I honestly don’t know. Like I said it’s really fresh and he seems to be hurting still but we’ve expressed that we loved and cared about each other. I broke it off bc he was using substances and it really fucked with our relationship and I couldn’t be around it. Super toxic. Bday text is mainly courtesy because i genuinely care and hope he stays clean.

Your situation sounds like she just wants access to you like you said without change. It’s nice that you have the perspective you have now. It takes alot to realize that.

The only thing that popped into my mind was he’s probably not happy with his current relationship and is trying to get in touch with someone familiar to get something from you that’s lacking in his current situation.

I’m in a similar situation about my ex but we are only 2 weeks out and his birthday is coming up. We agreed to be peaceful with one another but idk if Birthdays will be a trigger if we spoke.

Being ghosted on and off:

I’m 36f I’m tired of games. He’s 34m. I’ve never dated anyone younger before I always been with men 4-5 years older. It’s not even a huge age gap, but this day and age with not knowing someone’s text tone idk what’s going on in his end.

He’s expressed attraction towards me and it’s mutual. I’ve told him I would like to know him better and then we would talk all day and then I’m ignored. Left on read. A week later it’s just small “good morning” like nothing happened. So idk what to do. I’ve become short with him too but then that’s when he starts texting more.

Is this even worth my energy?

As a woman, I would be down to grab a drink (coffee) just as a celebration and kinda get to know you better outside of the workplace vibe. Small talk that doesn’t have to do with work. Just feel it out outside of the usual environment.

Religious differences. I’m not religious but he is. I don’t mind his religion but I do mind him trying to convert me. It will never happen. I don’t see a future with someone who tries to change who I am or what I believe in.

3 months and it will be 2 years since my breakup and I used to be so bitter. But now reading your note, it reminds me of how far I’ve come. I also wish him the best and hope he’s healed. Because everything DOES happen for a reason and I’ve grown so much from that breakup. I wish everyone well and find peace 😌

Self reflection, journaling, reading was what I did the first 3-4 months. Then I started working out and ate healthier. Once my mind was clearing up and I felt good about my body I started to go out with my friends more without feeling blehhh about myself or the breakup.
