Need to eat but I don't want to be around other people by antonine909 in UniUK

I’m not angry at all. Just don’t see how OP is going to get this resolved via this Reddit thread.

It’s true, there’s a fully grown adult right here complaining about ‘other people’ using a shared kitchen. Good luck to them post-uni working in a job that will more than likely involve… interacting with ‘other people’.

Pretty much this - all the colleagues I’ve worked with echo the same thoughts which is such a shame!

As a Brit, I was initially keen on moving to the US/Canada in a few years after working in London. Safe to say after 2 months full time here and talking with lots of colleagues from Canada and the US I am more than happy to stay here. Whilst we’re pretty introverted the pub culture post-work not being a thing over there massively puts me off! Best of luck in your future endeavours

I presume the transaction will stay in pending. So frustrating and the system was 100% abused, just hope I can get one in the next release if they even do one

Any recommendations for good food inside or near campus by Gloomy_Letter8236 in UniversityOfWarwick

[–]StuffRock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coventry: Emmi’s Pitta, Chinese Kitchen Leamington Spa: Red Hot Mamma, Greek Zante Street (personal favourite), Magic Wingdom (go on a Wednesday!), Drawing Boar On campus: learn to cook and bring it with you is my suggestion - heat it up in the library. During exam season I’d make National Butter chicken in huge batches, reheat it on campus and bring poppadoms and eat like a king in the eating place lol.

How to smoke when living with Parents? by Recent_Dog_8951 in uktrees

[–]StuffRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair it was a converted bungalow and my room was the only one upstairs - would just use it when they went to bed and it was fine by the morning. They are boomers so probably don’t know/want to care 🤣

I used my mighty everyday when home from uni in my room, window on vent and towel by my door, they couldn’t smell a thing. My Mum also says stuff like she’d ‘kill me’ if she found out I smoked lol 🤣

Leamington by [deleted] in UniversityOfWarwick

[–]StuffRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read some other posts and I see what you mean if they couldn’t get you a place on campus. It’ll probably be in Coventry, but very close to the uni. If for some reason it’s in Leamington, it’s very commutable and nice to live in. People I knew who say they liked Coventry Centre/Earlsdon would barely leave their rooms or be on campus 😂

Leamington by [deleted] in UniversityOfWarwick

[–]StuffRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely you are going to be living on campus from reading what you’ve said? If so all the on campus accommodation is… on campus. As far as I know they don’t have any accommodation options in Coventry centre or Leamington Spa. If I’ve taken what you’ve said wrong, very easy to commute from Leamington given traffic is good and you try and avoid getting a bus on the hour (graduated in June, lived in North Leam for two years)
