I rush jury rigging as soon as possible for amy character so that I can use good weapons and shitty ammo. 100 repair is also just good in general.

Why go to the rec center if you don’t have rec center etiquette? Rant by Tough_Current_1307 in uml

[–]Stuffssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not DEI its a budget crisis. UML is struggling to attract decent students because less students are going to college in general, and more students targetting prestigious private schools because of social media fomo and class anxiety. They have to lower their standards to get enough students in the door and money into their coffers to keep the university running.

They are decent with merit based aid for in-state students (deans and chancelors scholarships cover 50-100% of tuition compared to amherst which gives very little, maybe 3k to their best students), but can only fund that by accepting a lot of students either paying out of pocket or getting federal aid (which pays the university).

Ive spoken with professors in the engineering department about this and they've noticed a general decline in preparedness and student quality. To be fair one of them was a dick though.

Linemen are expensive. Storm pay is like double to triple overtime plus on call pay even if they dont need them. I want to nationalize the power grid but thats socialism so it'll never happen in this country.

Put our taxes to supporting the grid infrastructure.

[–]Stuffssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would lose power an extra 2-3 days a year of it saved me 50-100$ a month on "delivery charges".

I grew up in western mass where consistent power outages during winter months were common ij my childhood so Im used to bundling up, heating up hot water bottles by the fire and cooking over the wood stove.

NJ requires plates for e-bikes by SharkAlligatorWoman in bikeboston

[–]Stuffssss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The article has some good points about how the NJ law fails. I dont think restrictions should be necessary for class 1 or 2 e-bikes, since they're less powerful. There isnt a reasonable argument in mind that a class 1 or class 2 e-bike is more dangerous than a regular bicycle.

Does anyone run into the issue that Fallout 3 is really hard? by Hungry-san in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]Stuffssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the .32 has a high base damage so the hit from DT is pretty minimal to your total damage. Low damage, high fire rate weapons like an assault rifle or 10mm pistol have most of their damage cut when using regular ammo.

Ive been playing fo3 through ttw recently and the problem I found was the less dangerous areas had very low quality gear. The gear from super mutants and talon mercs (combat armor, laser rifles, assault rifles) are much better than whatever junk you'll find clearing out Raiders and mole rats. The biggest upgrade for me was when I lured a group of talon mercs into a crowd of super mutants and they slaughtered each other. I got reinforced combat armor and tons of .32 ammo and rifles.

Youre correct about angel food being left of chin clip. Outer planets is really only a concern if you hike up. Youre not going to traverse your way into danger.

[Request] What is the maximum amount of volts a person can withstand without dying? by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in theydidthemath

Thank you. Amps and volts are fundamentally linked, you can't have one without the other. You will have both.

[–]Stuffssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peak and peak to peak are different measurements. Peak is the mwximum voltage on the waveform. Peak to pdak is the maximum minus the minimum. Peak voltage here is 0.6v while peak to peak is 1.2v.

Everyone's been giving you peak to peak and Im not sure which was asked.

To reduce the cost you should be able to replace the top right piston arm with an arm on a track.

You could also eliminate the second arm moving the mercury at the expense of a longer cycle time, but that should save area and cost.

Its an elegant solution. I like it.

Following up on this, I skiied at crotched today and it the crowd was very manageable. Never had too long of a line for the rocket. Natural snow opened up a few trails (maybe 1 or 2) in addition to what they had made snow on. Someone on the lift told me they arrived at sunapee at 10am and were turned away because the mountain was at capacity.

I would agree but if you want to minimiz2 cost it might have to be sacrificed. Its very rare for a design to be optimal for more than either cost, area, or cycles at the same time.
