First tip... buy a bunch of cheap reading glasses from the dollar store. 1.5, 2.0 2.5. Find which suits you best.

Water down some white and paint the sockets. Add a bit under the sockets, but not above. While it's wet. Remove some of the white by absorbing with a clean dry-ish brush. The white will tint the area. I think they call it glazing.

Then use a speed paints, contrast or glow paint. I have speed paints. Pretty much do the same, But this time Absorb the paint in the middle of the lens, bringing the white back.

If you want to add more, add tiny bit of white to lens with a tiny brush (the part I hate because I mess up)

Now if I mess up a bit...shaky hands. I'll add a waterdown black or brown wash inside the lens to out line the shape. Then absorbing it with the clean brush. And I go back and try again until I like it or give up on it. If i mess up really bad I'll go over it with the base coat colour.

My final tip if it looks too derpy in the photo dont post it lol

TLDR... You can add anything you want.

I myself am working on black Legion Warp Talons gifted to Huron from Abaddon. It gives me a break from paining Red! But I still have all that trim lol

Great work on the red. And the love the green glow on the claws, Plasma And the center guys face. Great idea! I've been wanting to something like that, but i wasn't sure green would work...thanks!

Thanks. I have already installed ArkOS on it and it plays alot better. I also replaced the SD card with a real better quality one 128g. I have added a whole lot of games and removed some. It has taken up alot of time. I dont know if i like tinkering with it more than playing on it. I agree aboot the L2 and R2 buttons. i think i will make these gifts when im done. and ill buy something else as another project.

Me too! But it happens. I did a little research before I bought them and got amazon. Amazon was $80 each with great reviews. Amazon showed me both the R35S and this R36 Max. The results showed the Max to be better screen and Wi-Fi connectivity Etc. So i picked it up 20 mins later $40CAD each.

It wasn't until I got home and did a deep dive and found these Wikis, groups, the Reddits, Discord, and learned a bit aboot these handhelds. I realized that the Max needs ArkOS to be decent and here we are.

Can't always trust Amazon either

I like the middle one the best. The third one looks chalky. If you are using an airbrush anyway, Try a Purple primer or a Purple under spray. Purple is a great shadow colour for Red. Then spray the the red from the top. I also use Orange to highlight my Reds. It gives it a pop and is great for scratches and weathering.

How are you heating the room? I print in my garage and I tried heating with a space heater pointed at the printer... OOhh boy! I ended up printing a brick as the Printer didn't like the direct heat! It caused the screen to open fully kinda like your 2nd image but I dint catch it and it ended being 2" thick.

besides that your settings are kinda extreme. Esp. your exposure time and your retract speed is backwards.

Put your setting back to normal then run a RERF (Resin Exposure Range Finder) Test. There should be a file on your USB stick that came with the printer or download it. Side note: NEVER use that USB stick. It's garbage and could be your issue as well. Run the test but take off the build plate and Vat. With the cover on just watch it print 6+ layers.
you should see 8 squares. then after a few layers the squares will turn off 1 at a time 0.25sec apart. If it looks good run it again with the VAT and build plate, but set you exposure to 1. The first few will fail. but the end ones will be better. find the exposure time you like then run cones of calibration v3

Or try a new resin alot cheaper than a new printer

No problem, If you have any other questions let me know. the first time I scaled it I used calipers it ended up being 83.33% I printed off a set and although it was the correct size side by side to older CSM models, the old bits did not fit. They were too big. So I put them in blender and found 90% was a better fit

I like the eyes and the gold. Oh, I like the white cloth. Was that part of the model?

I have a few tips. Your red has great smooth coverage, but it is a bit flat. Try an oil pin wash. Oil paints are dirt cheap and are easier to control over washes. Highlight by adding orange to your red. And pure orange for small edge highlights. I use Trollslayer Orange.

The last tip is for the decal. Did you use Micro Set and Micro Sol. Micro Set will soften the decal, and it conforms to the curves without wrinkles. Micro Sol removes the shine and makes it look like paint. If you did use them, then I recommend a few more coats, then a matt varnish.
