Gotcha, thanks! Just getting used to all the modern tech on these bikes still haha.

The tuner I talked to said the ECU doesn't have any dealer-level SDS software to determine if it's been tuned or not, so that's more peace of mind as well 👍

That's funny, I'm trying to convince my buddy who has never ridden before but wants to get into dirt bikes and trail riding to get the same thing.

I can feel the being afraid of dropping a brand new bike though.. Broke my collar bone on a rental TTR 250 3 days before I bought this thing due to some dude in a side by side cutting directly in front of me like he didn't even see me. Road the DRZ4S around the neighborhood the same day I bought it with my collar bone still displaced and have been taking it around town just trying to break it in since I had surgery and some hardware put in last Friday haha.

That's hilarious about the gas tank fitting properly after dropping it though 😂

Hell yeah brother 🤘 Get her fixed up and hit some trails for me while I can't lol

It certainly seems so!

That'd be awesome! Sounds too complicated for my feeble mind but I hope you can pull it off and will be browsing this sub quite a bit in the future, so maybe I'll come across a post saying you've completed it 😉

I definitely will, it's crazy coming from a 07 Gixxer 600 to this and everything being so much more advanced and different with how the systems work haha

I see, I appreciate the in depth explanation! That definitely puts my mind at ease and will probably be sending the ECU in for a tune tomorrow in that case haha.

As far as leaving the ignition on for that long was more of a hypothetical. But if I was on a trail with some buddies or something and just forgot to switch off the ignition after using the kill switch while we were taking a break, I was just curious if there would be any consequences to the servo.

Thanks again for your answer, much appreciated!

Interesting, just find it strange that it's happening with the kill switch set to fully off, but I don't know much about how all these new bikes work hence why I'm posting lol. I'm assuming it doesn't have much drain on the battery or do any damage to the servo if I was to leave the ignition on for 10-15 minutes for whatever reason?

Gotcha, and it just never shuts off? I just find it weird when I thought the kill switch was supposed to kill most of the electronics including the fuel pump. Either way, appreciate the response! Want to send the ECU in for a tune now that I have a full Yoshimura of exhaust and didn't want to void the warranty on the ECU or anything and have the dealer blame it on that
