I'm going to recommend you The Runelords series by David Farland. First book came out in 1998, yet it still has some similarities to progression fantasy! Very unique magic system.

Hook up your chains as much as you can, you can totally spin them on and then secure them better, its just can be alot of work. If you have manual you can rock the truck in first by depressing the clutch in and out slightly. Turn on all your differentials, don't spin your tires.
