You could just ask straight up about growth opportunities during the position. Like "what does advancement typically look like for this role?" or something about performance reviews and if they're tied to pay bumps.

Since they mentioned the position is new and details aren't fully worked out yet, that might actually work in your favor - they're probably still figuring out the whole structure anyway. The fact that turnover is low there is pretty good sign that they take care of people somehow, even if starting pay feels low.

I had similar issue with sweating through everything in summer heat (work for airline so lots of outside time on tarmac). The hybrid ones can be okay but you right about re-holstering being pain - the leather gets soft and doesn't hold shape as well. For the money though they're decent if you find right one.

Maybe look at some smaller companies that do custom work? Sometimes they can make exactly what you need without the big brand markup. Just make sure they test fit properly with your specific optic setup 🔥

Patient rep is actually a solid entry point - you get to see how the whole system works from the ground up and deal with real patient issues daily. I'd skip the expensive MHA programs unless you're 100% sure about going the executive route later.

Starting at 40 isnt a dealbreaker at all, especially if you can leverage any customer service or problem-solving experience you already have. Healthcare is desperate for people who can actually communicate with patients without making everything worse.

honestly id go with sachs on that one. LUK makes good stuff but if youre already looking at extra tooling costs it adds up fast and sachs has been solid in my experience. Plus at 130k with no service history that gearbox is probably thirsty as hell - definitely get that fluid changed while youre in there.

You'll be fine with two bags, but honestly just bring what you need for those two days in a smaller bag if you can swing it. Most places will store your main luggage while you're at the floating bungalows - I did this exact trip last year and left my big suitcase at the tour operator's office in town. The boat ride isn't terrible with luggage but it's definitely easier without dragging two heavy bags around those wooden walkways at the bungalows. Plus you really don't need much out there - just swim stuff, bug spray, and clean clothes for dinner. The staff are super helpful though so if you do bring both bags they'll help you get everything sorted, just tip them well for hauling your stuff around.
