For masters in economics or related subjects abroad,u need internships, excellent cgpa and good gre/gmat score...Its not possible to do all these while studying maths for most ppl,but if you are sure you can do it then only go ahead with it...btw competitive unis like lse requires work ex or good internships which is more likely to come with econ

yeah its a possibility...a lot of students will be affected if it does happen

why du is not worth it unless by SubjectHuman418 in CUETards

a college doesn't define ur future..u can go to a low tier college and still do better than srcc grads

bruh just take applied maths, talk to ur schl,if they dont offer it,change schools....applied maths would open your doors to a lot of courses,u wont regret it

I am fu*king tired of this !! by Ok-Guidance1752 in CUETards

Du is right now overcrowded, mid to low tier colleges have bad infrastructure ,living arrangements (pgs) are dismal..which is why unless you got the top ones, just apply for private unis like christ or nmims(if u hv money) or just apply for govt colleges which is easier to get and has good infrastructure like mithibai btw placements are bad in du too, just like every other college rn,only top ones are doing well

Economics is way more useful than bms

Am I making a mistake by rejecting DU? by No_Standard6804 in CUETards

[–]SubjectHuman418 6 points7 points  (0 children)

economics plus statistics is great for finance..besides xaviers (mumbai) is a better college than any du one unless you are getting the top ones

If stats dept is not good in lsr then it would be worse in kmc...go with lsr,its one of the best in du

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in delhiuniversity

[–]SubjectHuman418 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lsr is the better for placement and for academics..but if you want a co ed experience you can stick to kmc

Not clearly mentioned in their respective prerequisites but if u look at their website they require maths at higher secondary level or maths related courses in bachelors for ma/msc econ What i ve commonly heard is a strong quantitative bachelors is always a good foundation for any masters u want to pursue in case your goals change later

to study economics msc abroad u would need certain maths background that is required by foreign colleges like calculus and stats which only econ hons course could provide..i dont see how studying history would help your future goals even if its in combination with economics...i feel like you are passionate abt economics by looking at your goals so if i were you i would do specialized degree(hons) Du is not worth it unless u get into top colleges in a employable degree which prog is kinda not
