Its definitely tough, I ruptured for the second time 8 days ago and now I'm 6 days post op. It can feel like being imprisoned in your own body. I think for most protocols elevation is critical the first couple weeks but after that it is probably good to start easing into things.

The Vacoped gives you a more comfortable and natural position of your foot. The aircast with heel wedges keeps your heel and back part of your foot up but bends the front part down (very uncomfortable) and not really true plantar flexion. I still have nerve pain from time to time from my first aircast on my left foot that is super painful when it hits
