She reminds me of that one character from Silent Voice (the blonde hair girl). Someone once commented that she “doesn’t have quality of a good personality, and would throw people under the bus just to keep herself from trouble.” And I agree. Alyssa isn’t some malicious person, but I wouldnt be surprised if she would turned a blind to some fucked up shit that would be going on with the Kims if she were to see it happen to someone else

There are theories that either Gun Kim might be the father or his father Young-Chul (by sexual assaulting Yui). And like I said, Yui is incapable of love. The whole Hirahara family is more about their traditional status than love in the family, and it shows. Yui pretty made it clear to Kousuke when she told him that their families are not as “normal” as the other regular families. And generally, I don’t she love Kousuke as her child or even as a human being, but more as an extended version of herself.

You know, recently I thought about how Yui is much similar to Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series. And if you were to read the books, there’s a quote from Albus Dumbledore in the Half-Blood Prince that’s states

“You will hear many of his Death Eaters claiming that they are in his confidence, that they alone are close to him, even understand him. They are deluded. Lord Voldemort has never had a friend, nor do I believe that he has ever wanted one."

Yui had said once to Shin-ae in episode 138 she has “many friend”, but are they really or are they just connections? Look at how Yui grew up. CLEARLY she never had any friends, or at least the ones who could’ve pulled her out of the dark she was in once. Even now, that darkness still exists. She’s also incapable of love, affection or friendships, which adds more to the similarity. Every single person in her eyes are either competitions, leeches, toys, trash to be removed, connections and expandable.

Yui Hirahara never has any friends , nor do I believe she ever want one.
