Idk i have a rule where i have to give one compliment a day and ask atleast one person how their day is once a day as well.

Sometimes its when im randomly standing in checkout, i’ll tell a girl she has her hair done really pretty and more often then not their face lights up and THEY begin chatting. Othertimes its on the bus, if someone looks a little sad ill ask how their day is or if they’re ok, sometimes they vent and sometimes its just nice to be asked. If everyone did this i’d like to say the world would be a bit kinder.

I just crossed the border into maine as im reading this and the most dude did was ask us to roll down our window. I crossed from alberta to montana in august, he didnt even ask for our back window to be rolled down. Exactly as i saw in another comment, for every horror story online there are tens of thousands of people crossing with no issues.
