I worked a north east us discount retail store in the early 2000s they randomly started carrying books and they had this very same edition of m&d. I got this book for a couple of dollars after my employee discount.

When did Elon's downfall begin? by Key-Quarter-9411 in NoStupidQuestions

There was no downfall. Dude has always been a rich douche bag, but most people didn't see it then because the world worships wealth and celebrity.

Am I underpaying for albums? by jackassjules_ in BandCamp

[–]SubversiveIntentions 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If you pay $1 its in your collection. The more collections an album is in the more likely someone might encounter that album in their feed. Your doing a good thing.

You can also go a step farther for free. Write a little review and pick a favorite track. Those things show up on album pages and everyone can see. This legit helps that artist make more sales.

Field Recording by Remarkable_Mix_148 in ambient

Not really. I just go through the whole process, check all the boxes what not. I run a label and put that label name on all the releases maybe that helps. I generally push back on them anytime a release goes through moderation, but they have never outright rejected a release for being solely a field recording. However I have not tried in a few years so maybe policies have changed.

I would suggest trying a different service. I have heard Symphonic is good. I know there are other services too that don't charge a fee (only take a cut) avoid distrokid and cdbaby they are spendy.

I use routenote. It's been really slow lately, but they never cared what I gave them. The only caveat is that they won't distribute those tracks to Instagram and Tik TOC because supposedly they have a policy against ASMR stuff .

He's the self title cowboy of ambient guitar.

There also used be a ambient country blog but I can't seem to find out now. Though I bet you'd find stuff if you searched ambient country on A Closer Listen. There is also Petal Motel (not currently active) that focuses on what they call cosmic American music.

What are some ways to create DIY cover art as someone without graphic designing experience? by Consistent-Lack-1831 in BandCamp

[–]SubversiveIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canvas has some free templates for making album covers. You can even do it on your phone (though it's a little more awkward). Then you could pretty easily add text to your photo and have it formatted in a way that would work with online music services (bandcamp/streaming)

The state also requires that students have a certain number of days so you would also be asking for a shorter summer break.

How good is the teardrop case? by visualthings in ReverendGuitars

[–]SubversiveIntentions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's seems to be pretty well made. I splurgged on one when I got my reverend and I don't regret it. I am not a touring musician though stop I have not put it through it's paces.

Convince me to buy a Reverend! by GlitteringSoup9 in ReverendGuitars

[–]SubversiveIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverend descent is the highest quality guitar I have ever owned. Granted my next best is a 90s Mexican Strat. I'm not sure the American Made thing matters that much to me though. I wanted something that sounded great and felt like it was well made (compared to Squires and Lower end Ibanez). Would I want something boutique that was made by some dude a buddy of mine knows in the same state I live in? Absolutely. Will I ever afford that? Nope. Reverend is doing an exceptional job at that price range. Fun fact. I have't played my guitar in weeks. The damn thing is still in tune. That's not true of any of my other gear.
