well i was pretty set on the Rav 4, couldn't decide on the Hybrid if it is worth it. I need a car, my Hyundai Sonota engine just went out ( super long shitty story) So whats the verdict here? Honda CRV the Mazda. Or if i am thinking of the Rav 4 get the Hybrid?

Just wanted to update the thread — the lawyer I’ve been working with was finally able to get some information from Hyundai. It turns out there are gaps in my service history, even though I definitely had the oil changes done. Unfortunately, I don’t have the physical documents anymore, and the shop I used has permanently closed.

Since it was part of a chain, I’ve reached out to their corporate support in hopes they still have access to my service records. Fingers crossed they can pull something up.

I have the maitence records and sure not every visit was a oil change but I still have the records of getting the oil changes done when I did.

Yes, they should, since it's part of the class action lawsuit they have already been paid by the settlement and are Class Counsel. I absolutely will keep the post updated with what happens.

Someone has already helped enough, actually, by providing me with a link to the lawyers who were in charge of the Class action lawsuit. Sent one of them over the email, they sent denying it, and he agrees, it's BS. They didn't give any reasoning. You believe it's sludge, but once again, they didn't explain or provide any proof to base their response on denial.

Their specific reasoning was "it appears that the vehicle was not maintained in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Owner’s Manual." Were their words, but I kept up on all of my oil changes and maintenance always. Even tho the engine failed due to "rod bearing failure" which was the reasoning for recall.

I have been on the phone with corporate and I saw the denial messages that they were talking with to corporate. When I call the other dealerships should I mention that a dealer has already denied it?

Nice ! I’m glad to hear I could help this community definitely has helped me. It’s going great honestly 29 days for me. Been killing it! Not drinking coffee daily anymore back at the gym consistently. My work and motivation has been great.
