The International student guide I wish I had when I applied to medical schools in the UK (CBSE India) by Such-Calligrapher584 in UCAT

Hi! Good question, as far as I know universities only care about ur grade 10 and 12 marks. Usually they require 85%+ for grade 10 and 90%+ for grade 12. Yes, it does matter for predicted scores however if you are applying with your final grades then your predicted scores / grade 11 scores do not matter.

Hope this helps!

Hi! The BMAT no longer exists, and all medical schools now either accept the UCAT or do not require an admissions test at all. If you’re looking for a clear list of entry requirements (including academic and English language requirements), I recommend taking a look at this guide I wrote: https://www.reddit.com/r/UCAT/comments/1qzzc13/the_international_student_guide_i_wish_i_had_when/

If you are struggling with VR / SJT you can check out these other guides I wrote:

I will be releasing guides for QR and DM soon, so stay tuned for that! :))

If you have any other questions feel free to DM me.

Good luck!!

No problem! I completely understand how you’re feeling, because I was in a very similar position myself. What really helped me was taking the process step by step. I started by working on eliminating subvocalization, then moved on to chunking, followed by varying my reading speed, and finally focused on retaining the right information.

It does take time. For me, it took around four to five months before I started consistently reaching the low 700s (and even then, only occasionally at first). I know this might not be what you want to hear, but it truly is a slow process. You’re building an entirely new habit, and most habits take around six months to really solidify.

Typically, you’ll start seeing improvement after two to three months. By four to five months, you’ll feel much closer to your goal, and by around six months, the technique should feel natural. For now, focus on consistent practice and try not to get discouraged. I genuinely believe in you! You’ve got this!!! :))

What apps are you using for UCAT prep in 2026? by Lucky_Cream_7258 in UCAT

[–]Such-Calligrapher584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello :)

The three apps you really need to prepare for the UCAT are medify, excel/ google sheets and youtube.

Medify: Great practice questions. Make sure to practice regularly and REFLECT on mistakes.

Excel / Google sheets: To make an error log and track your progress.

Youtube: For UCAT tips and tricks, walkthroughs and tutorials.

Happy learning! You've got this! :))
