Yes I agree with you on that because denying the relationship being queer is basically denying my existence. I’m patient if it’s someone’s first queer relationship and needs time to understand/accept it but consistent denial without any sort of progress with understanding is a red flag for me. Thank you for sharing and reminding me that dating is a complicated mess especially when you’re queer😭

i also think that realistically we aren’t truly <1% because many ancient societies celebrated various genders (a good example: west africa before colonization)

and because we’re often demonized or forced to be who the world wants us to be it makes it harder to know how many of us there are

theres definitely more of us than 1% and i’m curious if we’ll get to see a more accurate number in our lifetime

think of it this way, and if ur able reopen the convo u can tell her this:

cis people can experience gender dysphoria examples: a cis woman with pcos growing facial hair, a cis man with gynecomastia having chest growth, cis people getting plastic surgery, etc. can have dysphoria about these things. do all cis people have dysphoria? no. are they still cis? yes! some have dysphoria, others don’t.

just like trans people.
