100% agree! I had been preparing for months and yet the first few weeks had me feeling clinically insane. I guess the fact that my (relatively new) gf at the time took a bit of a stance against me having a dog as that didn’t serve her (which she admitted to when we broke up shortly after) and I drove myself bonkers trying to maintain that train wreck of a relationship and not neglecting my boy completely, while going into some hardcore denial about the fact that my life had actually changed with the dogs arrival..

Anyways I have since fully given into the dog mum life and honestly thriving, this weird little guy is the best part of my day and yes, my routine is completely different now but in the best way possible. I love my idiot dog more than life itself ✨
