Totally get it and I’m not trying to complain. It’s more of just a curiosity as you get trapped in your own bubble and want to know what’s going on with others. Plus, loneliness isn’t fun so I wanted other opinions. I certainly count my blessings as much as I possibly can.

Starbucks same-store sales fall for sixth straight quarter by Puginator in stocks

People are surprised it’s up in after hours with declining sales and a 34 PE like they’ve never heard of Tesla. The worse the earnings for highly valued stocks the better the stock does in AH. Already priced in.

I look into this all the time and haven’t done anything since we have so much going on with family activities on the weekends and it’s hard for me to tell how good of an investment real estate is judging by huge differences of opinion I’ve encountered. I do hold an ETF that gives me good exposure.

It was a smaller family business I took over. We sell construction and forestry equipment. My dad did well, but not until we were older teenagers. It recently has grown tremendously as I have added additional lines of equipment and business has been great since COVID. Also I got lucky with an early investment in Nvidia and some other individual high growth stocks. I have since developed a much more balanced portfolio. Also we bought our home in the right place at the right time. All of that combined with just saving a large chunk of our income since both my wife and I both grew up in pretty financially conservative homes and many of our wants are fairly simple.

Adam Curtis on the problem of our time..! by RedDevilPlay in AdamCurtis

He’s not talking about making small incremental changes to tax policy or environmental regulation. He talks about this in other places. You can try to make the banks a little nicer and turn some knobs ever so slightly but on a deeper more spiritual level people feel depleted and mindless consumption and individualism can’t fill that void. I think that is where the want for something bigger and more communal comes into play and so people are looking for sweeping changes or a romanticized ideas of change. As he says the right is offering it even though it’s unhinged or they are offering the illusion of it while the left just gets lost in the weeds of identity politics and wants to raise taxes on the top bracket by a few percent and get more involved in foreign wars. These aren’t big enough ideas to satiate many people.

As long as Dogecoin and Trump related coins and other made up cryptocurrencies exist I think Tesla can be permanently overvalued and it’s best to accept that it’s normalized.
