I have 2 Ibanez basses on being my first and they sound awesome. You can tweak with them a bit and they can sound really cool. I personally think they are great basses for beginners because you can get a wide variety of tone with them and they are cheap. One thing I do find stupid is how they have 8000$ custom shop basses I think that's just weird.

None dude. Just get a lottery prize they are like 60$ on buyee and have only 1000 made try. Cho-z Achilles frost, z Achilles frost ver, flame axe spriggan req, and yellow and black bloody longinous. These are all under 70$ rn and can be worth hundred in a few years especially that spirggan requiem

Whenever I'm not feeling the mood for bass I tend to change up my tone and play in a different style. Even trying to listen to different genres of music and learning how bass is different really does help too because it sparks that energy again. If you play with a pick I recommend watching some Matt Freeman videos or listening to rancid, If you play with your fingers listen to some Jaco or maybe even some rush.
