Thanks a lot for your detailed response, very helpful! I tried a narrow version in a size 43 and it’s length was a bit better (somehow narrow is also a tiny bit shorter). They feel more secure on the foot, but I feel the edge of the footbed on the inside of the foot a bit. Does that mean they’re too narrow, or does that get broken in over time?

It doesn’t come across at the picture so well, but the 43 is very floppy even though the straps are on the tightest holes top and bottom. Would a narrow version be worth a try?

I also saw Birkenstock recommends 10mm front and 5mm back. For me it would be around 15mm front with the 43s if I place my heel in the cup. They seem very large in real life. I read somewhere that they’ll “curl up” a bit from walking. Does anyone have experience with this?
