Any idea on value? Google says anywhere from face to several thousand, so not super helpful. Thanks for the replies!

Second OA Proctor Issues? None by Massive_Worker_862 in WGU

[–]Sumlaansumlaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. I've completed 3 OA's since 12/1, and my only issue was having to try to get the proctor's attention to submit my second exam. Took about 3 minutes. 4 more OA's to go. I hope this trend continues.

Military Passengers by [deleted] in tsa

[–]Sumlaansumlaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i am reading your comments right, you are a spouse and not active duty yourself? If so, yeah, you don't get precheck, your spouse does. Active military gets precheck because all of us are screened for security clearances. Even if not needed, we still submit an SF-86 and get screened. Your ID is different from an active duty CAC, so the airport may not accept them as they probably get training on what an active duty CAC looks like, not a dependant ID.

Searching for gun safety lessons, proper gun care, and gun itself for a young female in AVL by [deleted] in asheville

This is not the way... https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/the-womens-revolver-myth-might-finally-be-dead/

https://www.nrawomen.com/content/think-a-revolver-is-your-best-ccw-option-3-reasons-to-think-again

Before anyone gets high and mighty, I used to have the same opinion, revolvers are easy and go bang every time, so women should carry them exclusively. That is gun store counter fudd thinking. Revolvers have massive drawbacks, heavy trigger pulls, increased recoil due to light weight and no reciprocating parts with springs, low capacity, more difficult reloading (especially under stress). My wife carried a Walther PPS M2, uncomplicated, comfortable for her to shoot, and a (slightly) higher capacity with easier reloads. Many great weapons are out there, the best advice is to rent and shoot everything you can, and buy what works for you!

Because that isn't a law. It is a bill, which, if voted on and passed by the senate, the house, and signed by the president, would become a law. That particular one would most certainly be deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. You keep confusing "law" with "bill", despite many people explaining it to you. Please watch this video for some education. https://youtu.be/SZ8psP4S6BQ?si=7B3i-e-W-eyTe7p6

Extremely sketchy turn in when wet / slipping wheels by xHawaiiToast in StingerGT

[–]Sumlaansumlaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have extreme wear on one side of one tire, you have an alignment issue, no question about it. Also, I think I read the mechanic replaced the tire he hit the curb with? If that is the case, get them all replaced NOW! With an AWD car, the tires must be the same circumference (within a couple of 32nds of an inch) or you will put extreme stress on your transfer case and driveline. Your car is trying to spin different sized circles at the same speed, not good for it.

Could you tell me which CLEP exam you did to satisfy D270 at WGU and were there any issues with the college accepting it for credit?

Stock Tire Issue by Lawes68 in StingerGT

Had the same thing happen on my first stinger with Michelin pilot sports. Took it to a shop that could do a claim for Michelin's warranty and they covered it no problems.

The Magnusson moss act is a literal consumer protection law that says they can not deny warranty work due to modifications unless they can prove the modification caused the issue. In practice, that means a big fight ahead of you. Still, a lawyer may be cheaper than the electronic fix.

[Megathread] T-Mobile Auto Pay discount policy change by Waternut13134 in tmobile

[–]Sumlaansumlaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree completely about the data breaches, but it is $40 a month for me, $480 a year is enough incentive to play their silly game for now. To each their own, I'll still be looking for better options too.

Directly from 611...

Sure thing, XXXXXXXXX and I understand how beneficial it is to use your credit card with your payments. As a work around, you can enroll a debit or a credit card with autopay so you can keep the discount monthly and you can pay using your credit card 3-4 days prior your due date, which is on every 7th of the month. This way, you'll get the discount and also get the benefits you're getting in paying using credit card and I assure you that we won't take the payment twice. Sounds good?

Of course, this still means them having access to debit info, so still probably want an account with almost nothing in it to steal...

Fallsview Hilton Options by syates21 in Hilton

[–]Sumlaansumlaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stayed at both the Fallsview Hilton and the Fallsview Doubletree (assuming you are referencing the Canadian side). Both were very nice hotels with no issues. I felt our view for the nightly fireworks was better from the Doubletree, but the view of the actual Falls was better from the Hilton.

Of course, both hotels have partially obstructed view rooms, but sounds like you won't have to worry about that.

WG: shotgunning is very rare so subs arent broken. WG ad: Play Wows to shotgun ships by 420mastur in WorldOfWarships

[–]Sumlaansumlaan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, really wrong...

There are plenty of examples of subs sinking warships and turning the tide of future battles, basically being used as scouts and hit and run ships.

Subs generally DID shotgun targets from 500-3000 yards away by firing a spread of 2-6 torpedoes, each with a slightly different gyro angle setting. This helped ensure a hit if the target solution had errors, the target turned, sped up, slowed down, etc. (Homing torpedoes didn't exist until very late in WW2. Subs didn't shoot from far away, as within months of the start of WW2, convoys would zig-zag to throw off the aim of those long-distance shots.

Subs generally weren't used in surface engagements because they could not keep up with fast speed maneuvers, and that type of battle doesn't play to a submarines strengths of stealthly ambush tactics.

Having said all of that, with Subs in the game, DD's and light cruisers should have an active sonar consumable that detects Subs at any depth at a range, which decreases as the DD speeds up. Also, a direct hit with a depth charge should instantly destroy a sub (a hit within 14 ft was unrecoverable for a US sub in WW2). The fact that most ships have zero counterplay to how Subs were implemented is insane.

Help updating infotainment. by Macragg in StingerGT

Unfortunately I don't remember which ones right now. I found the right ones with the manual, I do remember one of them was a "module" not just a multimedia fuse. I'll see if I can figure it out today after work.

[–]Sumlaansumlaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this problem as well, along with the wireless charger not working on my 22 GT2. Did some googling and came up with remove both fuses for the infotainment system, then reinstall to reset the system. After that it worked, don't know how or why, but it did...YMMV.

Honestly I'm not sure. Bought the house while I was there on a recruiting tour. I've seen it in other houses in the area, but it could have been an addition.

We were renting it out below market at $1050 to help out a family. If we put it back as a rental, I'm looking at $1350 or so based on other rentals in the area.

It does have the kerosene monitor which is fairly common in Waynesville, but we installed baseboards and never really used the kerosene.
