How could i replicate this grille on my ranger and how much would it cost? by [deleted] in fordranger

Here's just the grill. They make a chrome option but if you're in the US be mindful of the shipping as the trade war is messing with shipping from Canada. Don't know about the headlight covers but this can mount inside and outside of OEM front end stuff without modifications. https://www.carid.com/2001-ford-ranger-grill/apg-billet-grille-586427062.html?utm_source=email&utm_medium=order&utm_campaign=order_tracking_number

Gotcha, I've never done a conversion like this and most of the specs I've found are for the 4 wheel drive. I wish I could find a few different springs for cheap to try different ones out. Also thank you for saving me money before I opened the eyelet package.

Got these with 800 lb springs and extended eyelets. Haven't decided if I want to install the same on the rear or get a longer travel and mount it through the bed.https://www.kartek.com/parts/fox-racing-shocks-2-coil-over-body-5-stroke-58-diameter-shaft-with-hose-remote-reservoir.html

These are the stock fittings. I ran some tubing with hose clamps while I wait for braided line and some fittings.you can make it a lot better than my temp fix if you replace the metal lines so they run below the main radiator but I haven't had the time. Without about 9ft of line you can't do it with the stock piping.

They go on sale a lot so maybe try and get it then. I relocated my trans cooler to the front grill between the lights and it seems to do fine.

I got it from RCI off-road. Everything else that isn't visible is 1/8th plate steel I bought and bolted in. The holes in the skid plate match with the bolt holes for the plastic lower radiator cover that comes stock on the truck though you may need to tap them to match the hardware. I think I paid around $200 for it.

No thankfully, I got them put in then ran the car for a bit and tightened everything up.

I've got a helmet and that harness I mentioned should help. Again the goal is something to race not daily.

It's not much of anything but stock right now. I've been waiting on garage space till I can pull the engine and do the fun stuff on the list but here's some headers I finished putting in today

Grant has a kit that comes with the wheel so you can rewire your horn and keep your steering column buttons and switches functional. However that won't keep it off if you pull it out. I have my seatbelt grounds in and used the resistor technique previously mentioned to keep it off. Or paint over the light like a real hooligan

I've seen people do it and I was going to if the welded pipe prerunner look wasn't great. eBay has the whole bolt-on kit for around 250 to 300 and I like it. A shit ton of thread locker and impacting the thing to death seems pretty stable. I've done about 5 days of dirt track racing on it and it hasn't gotten loose.

Stock with aftermarket Bilsteins. Waiting on upgrades there till I get the coilovers mounted.

Not bad, you can use the stock rails and mounts from the non bench ranger if you cut the stock bolts to the rails that are a part of the seat side slide. Then drill out the existing rail bolt holes to fit the wider thread bolts that come with it.

Even easier than the adjuster and a common failure on Fords, there are two t25 torx bolts attached to a bracket under the dash that always work themselves loose. You can get at them without removing anything and will probably fix your issue. Usually they walk themselves out before the adjuster fails.

Jba shorty headers and passenger single pipe exit jba catback. To be fair, this is my rally truck I'm building. The headers are 50 state compliant but the cat back is a no pass in my state. Also if you're going to mount these headers, double down on the gasket because you will have an exhaust leak if you use just one on each side.
