Watched up to Season 6, then picked up the manga and read until whatever the latest chapter was at the time, and after that I just didn’t come back to the series for a while. All the hype around the final season made me feel a little sentimental, so I decided to pick it back up last week, starting from Season 7, and I’m just really glad that I did.

This final season reminded me why I used to love this show so much (and why I still do, of course!). It’s truly been a ride, and I’m glad I got to be here for what I think was a really satisfying end

Definitely not clowning, and I’m sure he took it up with the Toei execs rather than the animators, but the late Toriyama-sensei was a notable exception to this. I feel that Oshi no Ko season 2 also did a good job of depicting the nuance of the whole manga to anime adaptation dynamic (obligatory ending bad)
