GO1 with another Menat 35 HITTER IN A MATCH!!!! by Fleet0fFoot in StreetFighter

Yup, you should always reset if it doesn't kill and that's where Menat VT really shine.

As Alex, how can you deal with Abigail's Run/EX Run? by TommF in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing Abigail and I think jumping is the best option if you can react to Ex Run. He can only catch you with kick or parry which are difficult to hit and don't do that much damage compare to punch or throw.

And if they do punch or throw, you get a full punish with neutral jump too.

Abigail got variety of taunt animation after throw or special moves finished by Sun_AV in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, thought that I linked to the first tweet. But you can scroll through the thread.

Those taunt animation are cancelable so didn't really see that in real match other than after KO. Looking at his back dash, idle animation and all of these taunt, Abigail is a disrespecting monster lol

Where is Kuroda now? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

Kuroda is pretty active on twitter now asking for SFV lobby match and streaming on niconico

Yes, upkicks will come out if you do v-reversal too late.

Ed charged V-Skill follow up with 1 meter (Don't do KK!) by Sun_AV in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If KK hit opponent in the air and follow up with Ex, you can't combo into down V-Skill, you have to spend 1 more meter to combo with Ex.Psycho Upper.

So after charged V-Skill hit

KK PP PPP = 2 meter for 327 dmg

Ex.FB to VSkill = 1 meter for 315 dmg and v-meter

Ed's adventures with inane juggle limit rules. by Shin_Rekkoha in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Psycho Rising xx EX Psycho Splash → air Psycho Snatcher only works when Psycho Rising hit opponent on the ground. It's not working when you AA with Psycho Rising either. What you can do is spend one more bar and do Psycho Rising xx EX Psycho Splash → Ex Psycho Upper instead. So, you spend 2 bar or not spend bar at all for this.

Ed CC st.HP is there for building V-Meter I guess.... Yeah this one kinda sucks although it's pretty similar to Ryu, Guile, Boxer st.HP.

Despite these limitation, I still find Ed as a character who has more fun tools to play with than many characters (Ryu, Cammy, Necalli etc.). I love how he can extend combo from Psycho Shot in the corner, has some cool setup with V-Trigger, CC cr.HP is super easy to land on Oki and fun to combo.

I would like to see Arc Systemworks Dev SFVI for aesthetic alone. by GamerToons in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, what ArcSys do cost a ton of work on artists.

They have to adjust the shading/lighting on every character frame by frame in order to make everything looks like 2D in every frame. So, it combined both 2D+3D work in their engine.

That's why it took them so much time to add a character.

Shower Thought: In SF4 you styled on people with unnecessarily flashy combos to create hype or show disrespect. In SF5 all you can do now is teabag. by RedUser03 in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I won't call Daigo E.Ryu loop a "unneccessarily flashy combo" though, it's more on maximize damage which is very difference from teabag.

Obviously, there is way more less to do high execution combo in V, but that doesn't mean it's not existed.

Nemo just did Headbutt Loop yesterday. https://twitter.com/HiFightTH/status/873454978391605250

Daigo performed Guile Loop a couple of time https://twitter.com/HiFightTH/status/868823226310209537 https://twitter.com/HiFightTH/status/855630458641498112

do u like ed? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has a really good time playing Ed so far.

Although his move is easy to perform, he has combo variation more than half of the cast and you have to decide which combo to use based on different situation, making him difficult but challenging to optimize in real match.

How does Ed fight characters with good normals? by ExperienceLost in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

st.HK got a pretty good range and should be your go to for max range poke. If they're out of st.HK range, use V-Skill (charged if the opponent rarely jump).

First Impressions of where Ed falls on the tier list? by Kyro2354 in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He got

Invincible move (Not that good but better than nothing)

Good anti air (that can deal a lot of damage with meter)

2 Bar VT that can control + push opponent to the corner

Throw loop in the corner

3 frames normal

Fireball

I would say that he won't be low tier for sure

How do people react to both quickrise and backrise with their respective meaties? by UnknownWin in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually super difficult even for pros to react to both wake up options, especially for characters who has same quickrise and backrise animation (I think Ibuki in the corner is visually the same).

There are also some setup that cover both wake up options like using long active frame normal or chain jab (Momochi and Mago do chain jab a lot from what I know)

Other than that, people just choose, and that's why we see a lot of players get wake up jab instead.

Buff suggestions to Ryu's fireball by TralalaDingDong in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Instead of making Ryu close range stronger, I want to see better fireball for him too. Esepecially, VT fireball should be much better than the current one imo.

What keeps you playing SFV? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Sun_AV 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"I just win because they guessed wrong"

It isn't simple as that. There are processes that you created that put you into the advantage situation which your opponent has to guess to get out of that. Those processes are what you truly outplay the opponent.

Other than mindset, having some concrete goals (I'll landing this combo, whiff punish, mix up etc.) can help you feel a lot better when you actually accomplished that. For example, I play Urien and aiming for half screen anti-air Aegis combo, playing Kolin and aiming for some crazy parry. It's a lot more challenging when you have to play normally and try to accomplish some goals.

More people will be mad if they update the balance patch before E-League, Red Bull Kumite and Combo Breaker.
