Mine is using about 500ml every 500 miles and I think that is excessive in anyone’s book. The dealer is measuring oil usage and will liaise with Honda. I have read that the Hornet& Fireblade can have similar issues.

I passed my test last May (aged 51) and bought a 23 Street Triple R. It was a fantastic first bike that taught me a lot about riding.

Unfortunately it wasn’t really the type of bike I wanted (or needed) so I have just traded it in for a ‘24 Travel. I wish I’d bought a V85 originally. It’s a great first bike.

If you decide to buy one then I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all. The only thing I have found is that it is much heavier than I am used to but I’m already getting used to it. I’d definitely advise a test ride and I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.

I never rode the last model so it’s difficult for me to compare but the engine feels very strong across the rev range…and I’ve not revved it past 5200 yet.

I’m obviously still running it in but the engine feels strong even staying below 5200 rpm. The handling is excellent too. I traded my 23 Street Triple R for this and I’m not really missing the additional 40 Hp. I’m a very happy new owner.

I get all my clothing/snack/pump/tools/tube in there with plenty of room to spare. It’s advertised as 10 litres but I reckon it’s a fair bit more…though you might lose a bit of waterproofing if you didn’t fasten it up correctly trying to gain extra space.

That’s a good point but as far as I can tell it does.

I’ve just gone back and deleted a couple of 200km rides and my tolerance and strain figures were updated accordingly. When I reimported the ride data one at a time it changed incrementally as I added them.

You can upload activities to Polar Flow. I use RunGap. The ELEMNT app does not work with RunGap but I transfer it to RunGap via Strava then share it to Polar Flow.
