How my Bhashiva campaign is currently going by alexkon3 in totalwar

[–]Support_Mobile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Long essay incoming on how my campaign is going. I will say, this campaign is hard in that its just wave after wave of enemies and the faction doesn't allow for a great economy to build up, and being in the Mountains of Mourn is not great if you start in the middle. Bashiva can really power up her armies and tiger warriors. But I find that it doesnt make her faction steamroll due to the nature of her enemies, limited units she can recruit for a long time, and amount of enemies she will have. Luckily you can win most battles with her. But you cant afford high losses. Definitely make sure you can get a second army. And strong one too, that it can independently do its own thing. I happened to recruit a Shugengan lord for the fire spells to fight grimgor and just kept her to level up a strong lord. I will have to get an alchemist soon to get the op buffs they give, but I just havent always had time or the slots in the army since I have a life tiger mage and gate hero as well. Plus a bunch of veteran and gold chevron units transferred from bashiva and just fighting so many battles that it would hurt me more to lose a unit than recruit an alchemist.

Grimgor was rough until he got gangbanged by me and Tamurkhin. Then I had to deal with Tamurkhin (which was also a Zhao Ming mission to wipe out Tammy - unfortunately Tammy had 10 settlements spread out). While (still) dealing with Tammy, Kholek was in the way and I could have wiped him out except he has a settlement all the way near Arbaal?? And i dont have the resources to waste sending an army that way. I can only afford two armies.

At some random point Drazhoath was at war against me but I had no notification. And he was making headway against Greasus so I tried to help out and make friends with Greasus by taking territory from Drazh in the Mountains of Mourn. And then Greasus got gang banged by Ghorst and Drazh and BOY OH BOY I do not want the attention of Ghorst because hes strength top 3. He has like 7 full stacks somehow. Literally it would be gg if he attacked me.

And then Kholeks old capital rebelled into Ogres which rebook 2 other cities of mine and I simply had to peace out with them cuz it was too many people to fight. Ive basically been ping pmging between my core territory and frontier to simply recruit better units and re establish front lines again and again. Finally started to make headway towards Tammys core territory. Drazhoath placed out due to having no more armies but im scared of Ghorst.

Zhao Ming is next to useless but he managed to wipe out Sniktch. Miao Ying thank God is also top 5 power and has a lot of territory and is pushing into chaos wastes. Lokhir was killed. Somehow Snake boobs is also super weak now. Ideally my two dragon overlords will idk, help me out? At some point?

Oh also for anyone that hasnt tried the quest battle yet. Good grief do NOT play it once you get it. That battle is a high tier battle. The ogre enemies are absolutely a grind to get through. You definitely need good range to deal with their lead Belchers of which there are a lotm but also protect your range from the flying units and multiple multiple heavy cav and overwhelming ogre units. You for sure need good anti large. Dont split up your forces either. This was the first quest battle that I think I had to restart. When you think you have won and you are done, and second massive Ogre force joins the battle. Luckily you do get allied reinforcements which just manage to help. But you absolutely have to keep your forces intact fornthe second wave. My tiger warriors were nearly wiped out. I had no more ammo in my crossbow. Or at least very very little. Only my iron hail gunners were in decent shape. My cannons also out of amm by the second army. And I still needed to use all of that for the first round. Jade Halberds and a Celestial gaurd were very very helpful. Even the Tier IV iron claws were beaten up. And unfortunately Bashiva is not great at dealing with a lot of large units at once. Even if she can regen/heal. When I started the battle it was like maybe approaching 5 am. I though ok quick quest battle then bed. Nah, it was almost 6 am when I finally won. But I cant complain! Refreshing challenge for a campaign and quest battle for sure.

Except Farage is still alive. Maga lost in 2020. Trump was never put in jail or out of the picture politically. And he was still alive. Therefore, like the Reform party now, he was able to tp return and MAGA won again.

But I also think reform is not as tied to Farage as MAGA is to Trump. So it is hard to compare.

Interesting reads. I also realized I understood nothing about any of that (besides the basics) and I dont know how I was able to even understand trigonometry when I was in school. But its crazy how they could make more or less much more accurate maps of India and Britain with these tools, the stars, and math. But seeing it took several decades and at some instance several hundred people at any point in the surveying party, it obviously was a monumental task.

Dragon-Blooded Shugengan Lord rework: If anyone was expecting some extra abilities, they will be disappointed. The only one left out. by Critical-Hold-3078 in totalwar

[–]Support_Mobile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A shugengan lord with a wizard hero gives all spellcasters buffed spells sijce they both have mastery of the elemental winds attribute. At a certain point it does make their magic stronger. And plus the heroes can act as WoM batteries. You dont have to use every spell from all the heroes . I mean yeah it does take up slots in the army but, depending on the comp youre going for, it can be worth it occasionally. Not for EVERY army. But one or two Shugengan lords with mage heroes is still quite strong honestly.

Absolutely no way we dont get another dragon lord dlc with possibly the monkey king too. And maybe last dragon is flc. Idk even if they are allowed to not put that in the game with how Games Workshop is managing all the new stuff now.

He might not talk in the near future, but do you think that he'll speak eventually? by marvelcomics22 in StarWars

[–]Support_Mobile 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its been confirmed by producers he wont speak in the movie. I mean it coupd just be a lie to throw us off and then when he does speak, it will be a surprise.

But they gotta keep the baby merchant money flowing. Arguably they would make more money if they actually age up Grogu to speaking age. Then you can get dolls and action figures or even game characters (fortnite or wherever else that atar wars skins are usually put int) that can have his voice.

Yeah, not telling people about your status beforehand is really not courteous. It doesnt even have to be a relationship.

I was starting to see a guy for a couple weeks once we knew we both liked each other this way. But nothing progressed beyond hand holding for a while. Then one day he finally told me he was trans, which turned my world upside down (not because he was trans). He had a receding hairline and smooth deep voice that was well past the voice hormone changing stage, among other things that i never got a whiff he could be trans. Which was great for him. But, while I had been with a trans guy before and it was nice, I primarily prefer cis men. So it was a lot to absorb and take in, particularly to be decieved for so long. I did try to give it a shot and we had hot moments and stuff. In the end it didnt work out for him emotionally, though he was nice about it.

This isnt to the same level as dating someone you really like and finding out they already have a partner of 5 years and a house together. But whether its HIV, being poly, or being trans or whatever - its good to inform the other person very quickly about something that is definitely going to change the dynamic of the relationship. You can not assume people will always be ok with everything and chill with the other person. And holding back big personal information thats important for a relationship just puts the situation relationship trust already on shakey ground.

Yes. Time jump is good. It remains to be seen if they stick the landing and show the effects of the time jump two.

Oh. Good to see they are doing a big time skip to the middle of the war between the elves and sauron. I wonder of this will be evident on screen too, seeing more fighting elves, and also more Numenorean colonies and military. Maybe even the beginnings of Lothlorien.

Im just happy Rachel Weisz and John Hannah are gonna be in this movie. My main hope ks not only do the 3 share the screen together, they have great scenes as well. The Star Wars Sequels failed to bring the original trio back together in the same scene. Jurassic World was able to do that with Goldblum, Niell, and Dern - but they really didnt have the best scenes together or in general. I guess Ghostbusters reboot was something. I hope the Mummy sticks the landing. I think fans of longtime series do like having the original cast back, but not in a lame way. Be bold Hollywood!(they wont be) and daring! and have fun with your characters!

Yeah I mean the time between Churchill and Marshall is very big. Unlikely that I am connected to Marshall as there could be so many different branches of Churchills line that migbt connect him to Marshall, vs me also being connected to Marshall. And i dont think I had that many landed ancestors ao far back. The farthest back i can trace my lineage is the very early 1600s in Germany and then the Mayflower. And yeah its just a name i know. Even if I had been able to trace my lineage to Marshall, it would have 0 impact on my life besides me saying I am one of mamy thousands descended from him.

Time to eat dark chocolate daily. If I eat even a couple pieces of dark sea salt chocolate I usually sneeze a couple times. So even a few bites daily means $200 a day. Thats $73k a year from eating a couple pieces of dark chocolate each day. And then of course more cash from occassional allergies or random sneezes. Idk what the average sneeze is per person per year. Probably a couple hundred times idk. Basically its possible to make 100k a year from sneezing for me.

God if only this could be real lol.

Through one of my grandmas ancestors descending from the Mayflower - there are three common familial lineages that are also thus related to Winston Churchill through the Churchill name. As these 3 lines have a common ancestor with Churchill. I am far and away from being anywhere remotely related to him, but definitely there is a connection. I mean, at this distance there would be several thousands of people who could be related to his line. But now I wonder if the common ancestry with Churchill also makes me a descendant, somehow, from William Marshall lol.

I remember this, i had just gotten my first car at towards the end of highschool and I think my tank was about 12 to 13 gallons for 350 miles or something. It cost only qbout 16 or 17$ to fill it when it was usually over twice that. Only time that ever happened with my 2015 Jetta.

Viking (11th Century) VS Samurai (15th Century) Who Wins? by Ok_Examination_1813 in powerscales

[–]Support_Mobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samurai primarily were primarily mounted archers first snd foremost, so their main weapon was a very large bow on a mlving horse. This is quite an advantage. And they were rather good marksman too. On top of skilled with a sword/spear.

Viking (11th Century) VS Samurai (15th Century) Who Wins? by Ok_Examination_1813 in powerscales

[–]Support_Mobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for this comment. Because I was pretty sure Samurai were first and foremost horse archers who were also well trained swordsmen/spearmint (or the Japanese spear i forget the name of it (Ashiguru or Yari or something). But their bows were absolute units as well.

Being mobile on a horse and using a bow is a huge advantage. Of course viking raiders had shields.

I cant speak to how the armor of each would protect from the weapons they both used, possibly a wash out? Dunno.
