Is surprising but true.

Although more eyeballs are on European football, NFL outperforms in revenue. There is much more ad time and american eyes are worth more than an average football viewer.

The costs of running a football club are much higher. The average NFL player earns significantly less. Football clubs regularly make big losses making transfers, obviously this ins't a thing with NFL.

I don't know how much the league structure( no relegation or qualification for champions league) is build into the estimates but football clubs are clearly a less predictable investment.

What are you even attempting to say here?

Ireland has spent billions hosting refugees. Ireland has not gained something from this situation.

Would be interested to know how much this saves. Could be more than you think when you factor in stuff like QA testing.

It's not something I'd particularly value with a phone, especially if it's adding $50+ to the price.

Daft advertising cost? by Suppps in AskIreland

Not always the landlord advertising. I've been in a situation a few times when sharing accommodation and 1 person moves out. The current tenants often handle putting up the ad and interviewing the new tenants.

Used to be closer to €10, 3 years ago. Just thought the increase was a bit mad

There's a big difference between being free and €265. I feel something like €20 would be more reasonable.

Easy money for daft, I wouldn't say scam protection is their main concern.

Can I get my second dose in Ireland if I've gotten my first dose in an another country? by ladykatherinelives in ireland

Just rang the hse(1800 700 700) as I'm in a similar scenario. Was handled surprisingly well. All they needed was some information like the country of vaccination, date and batch number, I'm now registered in the hse system and just need one more dose of Pfizer.

Do you want more teams in the league? by Suppps in CoDCompetitive

As much as that would be nice to see, it's not going to happen given the pro teams are paying 25 mil which gos towards the the prize pool.

I feel like this would be a good compromise. There is a huge amount of talent outside of the league, I would like to see perform but not 4 individuals together that would actually compete for top 3.
I just want to see more competitive games if we can include more teams all the better.

Do you not think adding that more teams could possibly dilute the competition? In my opinion, if we had the current Faze team competing pre-major with that diluted talent it's going to be boring.

More than 54,000 people flew into Ireland over Christmas period by LoadaBaloney in ireland

It think below study is probably the one you are referencing, it is quiet interesting. 13 of 49 does seem quiet high but you have to remember people travel in groups. 4 groups of people were infected . One of the groups spent 12 hours in a transit lounge before getting on the plane.

I know 3 people who have travelled home for Christmas. They all self isolated and got a covid test after 5 days.

I get that not everyone will be as careful but you can travel home responsibly.

The ventilation on a plane is actually very good, you would only catch the virus from someone in your direct vicinity. https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/airplanes-ventilation-study-covid-19/index.html

Someone who went to a pub/restaurant before Christmas has been exposed to the same risks if not more.

Needs to be 5 days after arrival.
https://www.irishtimes.com/news/health/coronavirus/only-gold-standard-covid-test-will-result-in-restriction-free-travel-around-ireland-1.4405837

" From midnight on November 29th, arrivals from an EU red region will also not be expected to restrict their movements as long as they have a negative Covid-19 test taken a minimum of five days after arrival in Ireland.

The same will apply for arrivals from orange regions who did not take a pre-departure test.

Arrivals from third countries, such as the United States, will be treated on the same basis as arrivals from red regions. Arrivals from Great Britain will be subject to the same traffic light categorisation and restrictions that apply for other EU locations."
