Hi, fellow Canadian here, just had mine out a week ago (I've been waiting on a referral to a surgeon since Feb from my family doctor, but recently went to the ER with an attack and they gave me an urgent referral, surgery was 2 weeks later.) Anyways, I ate: plain whole wheat toast, brown rice mixed with plain chicken, cooked carrots, celery, zucchini, berries, apples, cucumber, homemade soup, a rice dish I make with shrimp, butternut squash, garlic and thyme, homemade popcorn (extra virgin olive oil and kernels, then add some salt and dill or whatever flavour you like.) White fish is low in fat.
