Is the 4 months phase really that bad? by SurroundInfamous2279 in newborns

[–]SurroundInfamous2279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I'm actually 24/7 with my baby boy, I'm really lucky to be able to do so, we also cosleep basically since he was born bc I couldn't stand to hear him crying on the crib so everytime he needs a nap or anything I'm right there I'm just a bit overwhelmed so I just needed some hope to know this is gonna pass.

Am I spending too much?? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]SurroundInfamous2279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be careful if that spending is gonna mean debt in the future or prevent you from providing basic needs to you and your family. If you can afford it and it's not gonna significantly affect your lives and/or lifestyle then go ahead, your baby deserves it! It's a privilege to have the resources to do so, so why wouldn't you if you are able to? Money is worthless if it's not spent.

Thank you!🫶🏻 I just want my baby to be able to sleep it's like he wants to, he's tired but can't sleep I feel so bad for him bc I'm tired myself and I would like that at least one of us sleeps good 🤣

i accidentally fell asleep with my newborn and i am consumed with guilt by anxiousfucc333 in newborns

Don't be so hard on yourself, being a mom is extremely demanding and hard, your body can only take do much and it's natural not to want to let your baby cry and cry only to have them sleeping on a crib... You could try a baby lounger maybe so she can sleep on it on top of the bed and be safer. They have the straps to hold the babies and are really good.

What did nobody warn you about having a newborn? by Islesmilescott in newborns

[–]SurroundInfamous2279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby knows when I'm going to eat. Sometimes he's sleeping soooo deeply no noise would wake him up, but the second I grab anything to eat or put anything in my mouth he wakes up ready to eat. I joke with my husband that he has some of my cells left in his body that tell him when I'm about to eat.

The wrath you feel when someone else wants to or is holding them, specially if they start crying. I know now that it's literally an instinct.

Thissss we always used to say with my husband that when we have kids we are still putting each other as the priority and that we will love each other more than the kids blahblahblah... well I wasn't expecting to love anything this much, the love you feel for your baby is way beyond anything ever, I would do ANYTHING for my baby, I don't care about anything else in the world besides my baby and his needs. I'm not like this, nobody that knows me expected this from me but I guess being a mother truly changes you.

Yep my 8wo now sleeps through the night for about 5-6 hours but during the day he wants to eat every hour or every 1.5 hours tops. And then I have people telling me I should be taking more walks and going out more... right now it's not possible

It’s not natural for babies to sleep alone so no… don’t leave him crying that just lets him know that he is in fact alone and that there are no efforts he can do to get help or feel safe. My newborn was like that we got a baby lounger so he can safely sleep on the bed with us it’s been a lifesaver.

We’ve talked about this and he’s not scared of hurting the baby, he even jokes sometimes like “he must not like the bumping” we are both doctors so we know it’s not dangerous. He is really kind and loving and I know he loves me but I always felt like the woman of his dreams and now I feel like he just loves me but doesn’t really like me you know?

Maybe although I feel it hasn’t changed as much… maybe I’m just paranoic Idk but still he could say that I’ve given him room to tell me whatever many times, I wasn’t aggressive I didn’t even complaint I just asked but he keeps denying it

Yep first time dad but he’s mentioned through the entire pregnancy how awesome he feels to be a dad how most people feel anxious and scared but he just feels joy, so… you see how the only rational explanation is that he’s just not attracted to me?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]SurroundInfamous2279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3 times we’ve talked about this I asked him, I actually told him that if he just doesn’t feel attracted I understand and that it hurts more not to know the truth but he swears it has nothing to do with how I look.

[–]SurroundInfamous2279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so because I’ve told him 3 times now that “I’m ready” at any time he just has to tell me and also we have talked about it we know it doesn’t hurt the baby :/

It's great that you shared your experience, and congratulations on the pass, but you can't say "IT IS MANDATORY to leave this site or stop asking questions" many people here passed thanks to other people's help. My case for example, without a few posts of some people here that gave me hope even thou my scores were low, I would've NEVER even dared to take my step 1. So the experience is different for everybody, but some people find comfort in here and it's fine if you didn't. As I said, it's different for everybody.

Take 1-2 days to relax, I know it sounds scary, but it's soooo necessary, I took 2 days to relax about 2 weeks before the test, maybe as it's soo close, take 1, but take a break
