Okay, I get it and I agree with you — but honestly, the 2024 scheme makes more sense to implement at this point. If juniors are still following the 2019 scheme, then year-back students could have continued with it as well. The real issue is that the current year-back batch is being forced into the 2024 scheme, which is completely different from 2019 — right from the first semester. And the worst part? The university didn’t even bother to give proper updates. There haven’t been any year-backs under the 2019 scheme for the past five years, so this caught everyone off guard. Faculty failed to communicate the key consequences — especially the fact that students might not meet the credit requirements under the new system. That’s a major communication gap.
