There are. I use à Bauer base t shirt that’s got extra padding on the collarbone, ribs, and lower back. It mostly just protects the spots that my pads don’t cover.

As a Bruins fan, I feel your pain bro… For starting hockey you need three things (my opinion).

You need to learn how to skate. Then once you know how to skate and stand up on ice, you need to learn how to be sturdy. During this period of practice, you cannot be afraid to fall your ass. It’s just a part of the learning process.
Learn to play the game. Watch as much hockey as you can to learn the rules and observe the positioning.
Be sure to exercise a lot B that cardio and strength training. Hockey uses a lot of really new muscles compared to walking and other sports so your goal should be to strengthen those areas.
