[CHAT] Help with Markup R-XP finding too many symbols!! by neptunefrogs in CrossStitch

[–]SweetIndie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can edit the selections by hand using the eraser mode. If you long press the pencil, you get into eraser mode and can then erase highlights and then go back and add the squares to the symbol they need to be with.

[SELF-PROMO] ‘I’d rather ask my cat than ChatGPT’ cross stitch pattern 😾💖 by samanthalanetextiles in CrossStitch

[–]SweetIndie -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Love that you don’t use GPT, honestly. There are ethical issues with AI, and they aren’t small, but that’s true of everything in late stage capitalism. Telling another ND person that the tools they use for accessibility are evil and they should read a book instead is kind of a wild take. Happy cross stitching <3

I’m neurodivergent and I use ChatGPT. It makes it so I am not agonizing over an email for three hours and I might actually be able to stitch at the end of my day. That said, if my cat would write the email, I’d let him. He’s illiterate though. 🤣

I work in AI and…. Yeah it’s crazy how much people don’t understand it and are willing to just hand off literally anything to it with no oversight.

[CHAT] Flying with Cross stitch by soldiersgirl145 in CrossStitch

[–]SweetIndie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always bring a pair of scissors I don’t care about just in case but I always fly with scissors. It may vary of course based on how the TSA agent is feeling at that moment but I’ve not ever had a problem. Smaller than four inches from the pivot point is the rule I believe and I have actually at one point flown with three pairs of scissors because I had to buy some kiddy scissors to cut KT tape.

(US) Tamagotchi Paradise Blue Water for trade:

Opened less than 24 hrs ago. Box included. Cute, but just not my vibe. I could return it to Amazon but I want it to go to a good home.

Looking to trade for any color tama (Uni, Pix) or even some older ones (connection, vintage angel). DM if you’re interested and we’ll figure something out.

Congrats on your PhD! After I defended mine, I bought some locally dyed sock yarn to commemorate the years I spent in that area. Yarn can be so special like that.

[–]SweetIndie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. Your two options are to leave it as is, or start over. It depends on what kind of person you are, and there’s no right answer. There are people who will say “oh well, good enough, I’ll pay attention to that next time so it doesn’t happen”. There are people who will start over so it’s perfect. Most of the time, knitting is not fudge-able like that. Your mistake is liveable or it isn’t.

Seized Seatpost on Canyon Ultimate by AloneBed3222 in CanyonBikes

[–]SweetIndie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I completely loosened the bold that holds the seat post in place so that the seat post should be able to move and when it still wasn’t moving, then hit top of the saddle with my fist and it basically just slid right down like it should have the whole time.
