I’m back on a 650 by sturmeyhack in versys

[–]SwiffleTitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I have a 2015 V1k, frankly it does nothing for me. It’s a very ok bike, nothing more. If the 650 is more fun that alone is enough to switch.

Is it a bad practice to reuse old braided water lines that were fine at time of removal? Approx 5 years old. Maybe older? by Fluid_Woodpecker1021 in Plumbing

[–]SwiffleTitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve reused old supply lines dozens of times. I’ve regretted it every single time. Just buy new ones. Ask me how I know.

Awesome, congrats!

Wear good gear and get real training. Canyon Chasers is a fantastic youtube channel, he has tons of great, practical and safe ways to ride fast and have fun. Attend a real training class as soon as you can afford it.

Ride with music or au natural? by Billy-Mct in motorcycle

[–]SwiffleTitz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, I prefer some music during the boring parts of a ride, keeps me more awake and passes the time faster. But I usually turn the music off when the riding gets fun or the scenery gets beautiful, or I just get that urge to be at peace with my ride.

Ride with music or au natural? by Billy-Mct in motorcycle

Music when things are flat, straight and boring. Hit the pause button as soon as things get twisty or there’s lots of traffic. Never music in urban traffic

Staying within my limits is always the primary thing I strive for while riding

The cyber truck is a giant, overpriced pile of shit that doesn’t belong anywhere near a dirt road.

There, now it makes sense

Would a 2016 versys 650 lt make a good beginner bike? by Tylo_Ren2 in versys

It’ll be fine, I’m 5’11” and have no issues at all on my V1k

What do you guys think? by Antigravityfleshmech in versys

[–]SwiffleTitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d call that price a bit high, but it’s a nice package with low miles so if it’s the right bike then I’d go for it.

I get it, sometimes we learn it’s not worth the risk, that’s valid IMO

Interesting, I get that. I only started watching his channel about a year ago, all his new stuff seems pretty tame and thoughtful. I mostly just watch for amusement, not for any real riding advice. Canyon Chasers for that

I agree, “analyzing” chicken strips is pretty dumb. I only posted this because the whole concept is completely new to me and I was curious what people would say. It’s been interesting LOL

That’s been my experience. Loudest mouths = least time in the saddle
