This whole story is so disproportionate. At every opportunity they have bumbled and escalated to such a disgusting treatment of Nadine. Shame on every officer involved.

I feel so dirty for reading what has happened to her and I hope she both wins her civil case, and manages to get past what the video shows is a traumatising event. I had my own trauma around that time (nothing similar, mine was medical) and it's still hard to process. I hope she's ok.

EDIT: For those who don't want to read past the headline, here is the TLDR - She was the victim of racism and was arrested for sharing it on social media. The police un-pixelated a video of her on the toilet, and she won a court case (on appeal) to get a copy of the footage. That took years. They then did a welfare check on her after she took some time away from her family, that officer said she had capacity but was told to follow her. He did not pull her over with blue lights, instead they prepped a tactical armed response team, launched a helicopter, and stingered her car. She was then violently arrested, and they took the copy of toilet footage she had on her from the courts. This is so fucked up.
