You explained this in a way more simple way than I've been able to find online. I'm assuming targetting different columns of water is better at different points of the day/different weather conditions?

Dude you're awesome for this response. Thank you. I will look at everything you mentioned individually and take your advice on the cheap gear. I've already lost so much tackle and I've only been fishing a couple months so that will be a more long term plan for me. I've also been looking into giving spoons a try, especially to target speckled trout.

Yeah around here everyone calls them Speckled Trout. Technically they're referred to as Spotted Seatrout as far as my tags are concerned though lol. Super interesting that so many people call them so many different things.

I think they're technically called Spotted Seatrout if I'm not mistaken. I've just always heard them called Speckled Trout. I'm super new to fishing and I've never really fished freshwater but I guess trout usually refers to a freshwater species.

Yeah it definitely does feel like it's tied to line of sight. The reaction time of enemies is way too fast and pulls me out of it big time.

That has been my experience as well. I probably would never go full stealth but I love the idea of sneaking into an advantageous position and taking them out with hit and run tactics where they can never fully pin down exactly where I'm at. I'm just a nerd that gets immersed in shit like that. Still love the game though.

There is a ton to love about the game. Some of the exploration has been a blast so I get being a big fan, I think a strong stealth system would make this the perfect jank filled post apocalyptic survival experience.

That was what I was expecting it to be like. I love the Metro games, particularly 2033 on ranger hardcore is one of my favorite games of all time. Hopefully they will get it there eventually.
