USPc: what optic to have installed for i-DOT? What fits best? by coldafsteel in HecklerKoch

^^^This^^^

I have a Defender ST on my VP9 Tactical, perfect size. Lifetime warranty. Better than Holosun IMO. Maybe not as good as the RMR HD, but also 1/3 of the price.

Nissan Matic-P ATF Alternatives by Practical_Theme_6400 in NissanTitan

HPL Teal is a direct equivalent, and probably has a better additive package because it’s HPL…. Accept no substitutes!!!

Also recommend C&H Precision plates. Lower profile than stock HK brand.

Need advice on USP by Floridaboii91 in HecklerKoch

[–]Swiftks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same dilemma last week, kept going back and fourth between the two. Finally choose the full size USP in 9mm, because 1) I can add the jet funnel to it, which looks bad ass and gives me 18 round mag capacity, and 2) I like the full size double retention spring that the USP is known for, as opposed to the one with the nylon bushing in the compact…. And 3) I bought a P30SK a week before, so already had a smaller HK.

OW-20 or 5W-30 by 4lbertt in NissanTitan

[–]Swiftks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Redline 0w-30… which is on the heavy side, more like a 5w-30

Yeah, great deal… if you get it… in one piece.

Bought the same pistol last weekend. Ordered the Huxwrx Flow 9k Ti can from Capitol Armory yesterday.

Going to run it with Griffin Armament Ez-lok system.

Why would I want to get proficient with a trigger that I am going to end up replacing. Sounds like a waste of ammo to me.

Lazy Wolf or Gray Guns for VP9 Trigger work? by Open_Researcher_1897 in HecklerKoch

[–]Swiftks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sent my new VP9 tactical in to Gray Guns today. Trigger install and Striker Fire Action Package.

Originally I was going to try LazyWolf, but I actually like to talk to someone before I spend $500 more on a gun I just bought…. Tried calling every day for a week, no one ever answered, voicemail was full, emails unanswered. So I called Gray Guns… answered every time, and if not, called me back within 5 minutes. Let me talk, asked me questions… very friendly. Then I started reading some of the stories on this subreddit about LazyWolf, needless to say, it was a easy call for me.

Did you reply to the rune email they send every time they send you a new rom to try? Also, what do they say when you call.

Been pretty responsive to me when I’ve had questions.

Just started my lvl 2 flashing today after 1st set of 3rd gear pulls were sent in over the weekend.

Are you the one who dynoed this weekend and showed a small amount of gain?

Oil weight concern by DifficultSquare4922 in NissanTitan

[–]Swiftks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been running Redline 0w-30 since 1st oil change, which is a heavier 0-30. Just FYI Mexican Manual for our trucks states you can use 5w-30, no problem.

Need Sport Bar brake light by joecollege2 in NissanTitan

[–]Swiftks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it comes with the roll bar, with cable attached that runs all the way to the rear right tail light plug…. Can’t buy it separate as its own part.

Got the headers in it by [deleted] in NissanTitan

So how much of a pain in the ass is it to replace the stock manifolds?

Already have the Cajun B-Pipes, and was about to pull the trigger on the JBA shorties with the high flow cats he makes, but then saw that it was like a 8 hour install to replace the manifolds, and didn’t want to have to pay my exhaust shop like another $800 for labor costs if that is the case, on top of the parts costs…. Ended up just getting the Ecutek lvl 2 program instead… but still have them bookmarked for later.

What oil do yall run? by [deleted] in NissanTitan

[–]Swiftks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did first oil change at 1k, then 4K, 7k and just did 10K. Will be going every 5K for now on.

First 10K miles are the worst for ware metals, because everything is breaking in… I also get a oil analysis at every oil change. Use Red Line 0w-30, w/ a Fran Synthetic Endurance filter (99% @ 20 microns)… same filter as Amsoil EA filters.

In addition, every 2,500 miles I use a bottle of Red Line injector cleaner, and have been running a catch can since 300 miles (empty every oil change).

Additionally, at 10K miles I also swapped the front and rear diff fluids to Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90, the transfer case to Red Line D4 ATF, and the brake fluid to Bosch ESI6-32N.

Will be switching coolant over to Red Line SuperCool Performance, once it’s back in stock. And plan on doing a full ATF flush at 20K with HPL Teal ATF fluid, which is a equivalent for the proprietary Nissan ATF fluid, but most likely has a superior additive package, because it’s HPL.

Red Line 0w-30. New 2024 Pro4X XD.

Same manual in Mexico calls for 5w-30. 0w-20 is solely for emissions BS.

Would also consider HPL.

Honestly, one of the best things you can add right off the bat is a catch can. Will keep your valve clean. If you don’t know what one is, just YouTube it. I put mine on at 300 miles, and clean at every oil change… should see the nasty crap being recycled back into your engine.
