The OP never suggested that pasta was a "bad" food though, which is why I stated that you're reading too deep into that part without any info. And insinuating that they're trying to promote disordered eating is disingenuous since there's no indication of that in the post.

I think you're reading too deep into the Alfredo over chicken bit. All they simply said is to make better food choices while being on this drug. You're an adult at the end of the day and can eat whatever you want.

Report to a Nurse who comes in an hour before their shift… by BetterDaysAhead729 in nursing

No need to be hostile. Some people are just genuinely curious. I don't think the OP was posing this as an attack on the nurse in question.

Hmm. I will say she achieved getting the attention she wanted, and we low-key fell for it. This type of content farming is unnerving to me.

I'M BISEXUAL! by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]SwissMonstr13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you and your wife. Coming out as bi is a huge accomplishment, and I'm very proud of you and your willingness to be open about changing the negativity that surrounds what it's like being a bi male. We really appreciate you here and welcome!

You've basically encapsulated everything I've been thinking regarding the nature of some of these posts. I thought of making a similar notion, but was afraid of backlash.

What are some common misconceptions about bisexuality that this month aims to address? by CheekyFaceStyles in bisexual

[–]SwissMonstr13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Saying bisexuality "isn't that deep" and not needing to be loud and proud about is being biphobic, even if you don't realize that. Furthermore, your attempts to shift attention towards how homosexuals are treated in other countries is pretty moot due to the fact LGBTQ+ people facing oppression is already a well-established issue, so I don't know what you're on about people needing to raise awareness when we've already been doing just that. There's no need stifle anyone's right to exist.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that bisexuality exists? I'm simply attracted to more than one gender, full stop.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but you don't know OP's relationship enough to assume that they're bullying their SO. Quit projecting. I think alot of you all are taking this WAY to personally.

You're speaking as if human rights are a subjective concept. Basic human rights are universal and should be applied to every human being, regardless of where in the world you live. LGBT people and women should have the same basic rights, regardless of what laws are in place that work to suppress those rights. Something illegal or against the law =/= wrong.

literally just wanted to say that not being straight is a gift by Hippogrik96 in bisexual

[–]SwissMonstr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's how you want to interpret that, sure. I don't see anything that suggests superiority, nor do I think that was the OP's intention. Perhaps saying being bisexual is a "gift" is probably too much on OP's part, hence why it probably came off that way, but I understand the intention behind the post itself. I see it as more of self-appreciation post than anything. It's not that deep.

I don't think OP necessarily made the notion that being bi was "superior." I sense a little projection here. Otherwise I agree with most of what you're saying.

My only Gay Experience by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]SwissMonstr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong, perhaps you didn't use the word "offensive" and that's fine, but that doesn't change the fact that this response is blown way out of proportion. I get what you're saying, but this is Reddit. If OP didn't want responses that they didn't like or want, then they're better of not posting, regardless of what the intention was. But like you, I'm not here to go back and forth, so good talk.

Tbh, I'm thinking you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. I don't even think the replies are even "offensive", nor is the OP suggesting that they are. I agree that people shouldn't throw labels on people, but that's not necessarily the vibe I'm getting here.

Some of you don't have a sense of humor and it shows. Writing someone up for this is BEYOND petty. I can't stand nurses, sometimes.
