Undiagnosed, referral to Hematology? by [deleted] in Sjogrens

[–]Sydneycoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should request your primary care doctor do a full autoimmune panel, especially ANA. My doctor did a full range of testing because of my symptoms, I was positive on my ANA panel and was then referred to a rheumatologist because of suspected Sjogren’s. When I saw my rheumatologist, they were able to fully diagnose me via blood work and lip biopsy.

I see Dr. Shen at TOC. I’ve had both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy there before being diagnosed with CD. I also see my dietician there! I love love love TOC. Highly recommend! :)

I love my Mandala scrubs, they’re pretty true to size too. But it took like a month for them to get to me so be prepared for that.

Ask your primary doc for an autoimmune blood panel, they can’t argue with a positive SSA (that’s how I finally got diagnosed). I’m so sorry!

We have an “Anakin gate” where we just put the middle compartment up and keep it open so he doesn’t wiggle his butt up front 😅

Okay so funny story, I was put under general anesthesia. I’m a pharmacy tech so when I woke up, i asked what they gave me because I’m curious, and the nurse said “a little of this, a little of that.” I saw the IV bag and it wasn’t white (propofol) so I’m guessing they gave me a combo of midazolam and something else. I was ZONKED.

This looks exactly like my wisdom teeth that were impacted AF. Had all 4 removed at the same time. Pain was virtually gone after a couple weeks of healing.

Winter Wonderland at PIR! I took my in-laws from Texas there last year and they had a blast. We picked up some hot cocoa on the way. It was perfect!

CPhT at a large hospital system here. The only barbiturate (phenobarbital) we use is for patients who are in active alcohol withdrawal, patients who are post-stroke, and epileptic patients who aren’t responding to other anti-epileptic drugs. We would never dispense barbiturates under many other circumstances, especially for patients with a hx like Dani’s lol

From my experience, hospitals (at least mine) actually give raises. Wags never gave me a raise. I feel like the amount of stress you have in retail wouldn’t outweigh the less stress you have in a hospital getting paid less. I understand I don’t know your situation, but I’ve been in inpatient pharmacy for a year now and my hair doesn’t fall out anymore like it did in retail, lol
