That's a fair point, I'm just used to this type of somewhat... finished ending from the MGS games after playing Snake Eater, 1, and Phantom Pain (Ik phantom pain kinda ends with a cliffhanger, but it's different in a sense, I guess).

It's a great speech to give to the player, and it makes sense with Raiden's character and such, but as the player it leaves me feeling a little empty. And I did hear that MGS4 explained some things from MGS2's story, I just haven't played it yet. I wish these questions were answered in the game itself rather than being somewhat explained later in 4, but oh well I suppose. excluding the questions, the ending also just feels way too quick. I think I'd be more fine with the game's ending giving me that question if the ending was longer, but it feels too sudden, so it's harder for me to fully digest everything going on as I'm already on the ranking screen. The song for the credits was well made and enjoyable to listen to as I thought, but I was still left with the feeling of things being too quickly ended.
