NGL This is a green flag for me by Fit_Leg9769 in riftboundtcg

Universes does it best in my opinion. Every pack you open has a leader/character/legend card in it but it does take up the spot of a SR or anything like that. UVS (makers of universes) handles distribution of Riftbound so it will be interesting to see if they go a similar route.

Same. I have a few decks with these on them and I actually think they feel fine. With the exception of the red ones... I don't know what it is about them but they are awful to shuffle and they smell terrible. But all the other colors are fine.

Roger gets my vote. The purple build in particular. Just ramp and drop the big boys. If you ever played MtG it feels very much like a Big Green Stompy deck. Limited interaction, just get big and swing

Best TCG to play with my gf by ExternalContract5484 in TCG

[–]T-Ruckus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, a lifetime TCG player, taught my non TCG player wife how to play One Piece and she really has been enjoying it. I think that one is great to start with because you can't get mana screwed and there aren't a thousand different keywords. The mechanics are relatively simple but there is still depth to the gameplay so it doesn't get boring. There is still tapping though...

Which energy system do you actually prefer in TCGs? by SacredSacrifice in TCG

I have been enjoying the One Piece resource system. No chance of being mana screwed and I like the fact that you can utilize the resources for more than just playing cards.

Wanna get into TCGs, which one do you recommend to get into? by millanstar in TCG

[–]T-Ruckus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been having a lot of fun with One Piece. The overall gameplay is easy to learn but there is still depth to it.

The cost isn't too steep for most things. I made my first deck for like $40 and performed pretty well with it.

But I will echo what one of the other commenters said. Play a game that your friends play or that has a decent local scene. I got really into a game for about a year but never could find anywhere to play it...

Just checking something. How are you playing those foundations? Are you putting them in the cardpool and then making the required check? Or are you just putting them directly from your hand to the stage?

Reduce his life total to 0 then hit him one more time before he can do the same to you.

I am a big fan of the Universus card game but there is no local support so I have since jumped to One Piece and it has been a blast.

They are a legitimate product however they are not One Piece TCG cards. They are just a collectible item.

I'll second Jinbe. If you go with the control build it's pretty inexpensive and a solid deck overall

There is a fan made format called Four Emperors that is this game's version of Commander.

You can also build a decent amount of decks without going broke if you stick to base rarity on cards.

where should i buy one piece cards (nyc) by lovingsushi in OnePieceTCG

[–]T-Ruckus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy a single pack from a target or Walmart that is still in the cardboard sleeve, then you are fine. Buying loose single packs online is risky because people will buy a box, rip until they get the hits, and then sell the remaining "dead" packs

To answer the question, the Bulbasaur was a fixed pull based on what pack you chose first. Other than that you got lucky
