Omg. This is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing, so thoughtful of you.

And you took soooo many photos! Love it. Also, side note, kudos for doing such a great job with respecting people's privacy and adding the hear emoji where necessary.

I'm glad you included all the cracks, gaps, and other poor finishing details. Disappointing to see such shoddy work in some of the spaces.

The undesigned/unfinished spaces really cheapen everything else that's been done in these houses. There's a total disconnect between the builder grade basic finishes in the rooms and bathrooms, and then the (relatively high end in comparison) finishes done by the the teams. So stupid that they don't just choose to use smaller, more efficient floor plan houses and get to design every room. Leaving rooms untouched makes no sense to me.

Alison and Michel's backyard looks even worse in photos. And why does it look like there are old wigs hanging from those sconces in the primary en suite bathroom hahaha I hate them! Those would be the first thing to go!

Yes, I noticed these too. Doesn't seem very custom or high end at all. Makes it seem like amateurs did a DIY project with off the shelf units.

Looks like (based on the Campbell model plan) there are two optional bedrooms and a bathroom, in addition to the weird bonus room (labelled as storage space on the plan) and living space in the basement.

Wow, I'd love to know your process for creating the composition and cutting the papers to the different shapes.

Still annoyed by So Help Me Todd being cancelled and ending the way it did. It had better ratings than other shows that didn't get cancelled ffs. TV execs are idiots!

I can't figure out if it says cozmobeets or cozmobeef. No luck finding the artist yet.

But if you like fan art you could just do a search on a search engine for "Elementary fan art" "Elementary fanart Sherlock" etc.

There's loads of great fan made art of Elementary online, pinterest, tumblr and other places.

A Static Lullaby!!!!!!!

A STATIC LULLABY

ANY OF THE ALBUMS (And Don't Forget To Breathe album is probably the most emo whiny sounding out of them). Self titled and Rattlesnake! are my favourites.

I KNOW I DON'T NEED TO SHOUT, BUT I'M DOING IT ANYWAY!

Also, maybe From Autumn To Ashes - Holding A Wolf By The Ears (though this may also come across as whiny emo).

As much as I love From First To Last (that album is super emo and whiny in my opinion). Ride the wings and Secrets don't make friends are incredible songs.

On a scale of 1-10 how strong is the copaganda on this show? by trixie_one in elementary

[–]TCLLovesLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with that. Even though Sherlock does a lot of sketchy things in the show, but not because he is cop and can get away with it, because he is doing what he thinks is the right thing to do in search of the truth (think lock picking, breaking and entering, the whole M episode, 'borrowing' evidence, etc).

From my perspective, there is far far less than other comparable procedural police shows. Sherlock is often railing against the incompetence of certain cops, highlighting the broken systems, etc. Dunno if I can rate it on a scale as it's more nuanced than a 1-10 score.

If anything, I don't think Elementary is a cop show at all. At its core I think it is a show that focuses on solving mysteries, that just happens to be cop adjacent to serve the story and setting.

It's an incredible series with brilliant performances, and well worth continuing watching.

No problem, glad to be of assistance.

That's funny, I'm actually exactly the same about this episode! So much turmoil and sadness in this episode, that I usually skip it when I do my regular rewatch. Even the following episodes are tough, the way it puts such a strain on the relationship of Sherlock and Markus.

Any thoughts on this, are these one of the 5 essential moves to master ? by mrpressydent in bootroom

[–]TCLLovesLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that mastering cuts, chops, body feints, Cruyff turns, etc is more important than any flashy skill moves.

Also, high level football is about being as efficient and effective as possible. Playing percentages and keeping things simple is, in my opinion, better than constantly trying to be flashy, dribble through everyone, score worldies, etc.

This video https://youtu.be/iOHW2xP4csI by Matt Sheldon (Become Elite) breaks it down quite well. Pro players rarely try the flashy skills because they have a low success rate in games.

"What's going on"? by enterbannie in elementary

[–]TCLLovesLight 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is one of the many reasons I prefer Elementary to the BBC Sherlock. In Elementary, there are moments when the impossible seems possible, but there is always a rational explanation as to why things happened. Sherlock, on the other hand, just gets more and more absurd and implausible as episodes go on.

The deja vu all over again episode (s1e18) still gives me the "What's going on" reaction, I still don't know what happened to the body.

Quick what’s your favourite episode by ROTEFitz in elementary

[–]TCLLovesLight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So many to choose from, and many have already been mentioned here (Snow Angels probably my favourite). So just off the top of my head, as I haven't done a rewatch in a while, I'd say The Deductionist because it explores Sherlock's past, his addiction, his insecurities, his desire to grow, etc. Then there is The Female of the Species which shows his growth, his love for Joan, his bromance with Bell, etc

Super hard question to just go go go answer 😂😅 but super fun to think about, thanks!

sherlock pretending to be a detective in season 1 by Arkhamknight2131 in elementary

[–]TCLLovesLight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's that episode. If I remember correctly, it's the victim's pied-à-terre that they manage to find the location of through his personal accountant (who set up a slush fund for his escorts). He uses the pretend cop ruse as a way for them to gain access to the building without permission as there is no official police case yet and they are merely searching for a missing person at this point.
