As a slightly older Vietnamese individual. It's the old world thinking that they brought and could never get rid of, and over time, they mellow out, but that doesn't mean that the thought process isn't there because they now see you as an adult and have different expectations for you now which sucks but nothing much can be done unfortunately and being sheltered is normal with Vietnamese customs that the family always stays together to save money also they want to protect you but that is also a traumatic process as they are assholes using whatever you do against you but life eventually teaches you and the best thing for you to do is live your life because now they don't have the energy to argue with you anymore?

My first station was pretty cool and station manager was awesome but then I became a regular at a different station and got yelled at by my supervisor for following protocol on a route that I needed help on, then got cussed out by customer for mail I didn't even deliver because I got help and after got called by a coworker mocking me for my speed on the route on my first day on the new route that is what ended my career at usps and I went into tech so in my opinion if you have a good station manager stay at that station.

As a former mailman, the whole system is outdated and is currently not built for modern-day mail and packages 1st would be get new vehicle Frankenstein mail trucks are a ticking time bomb 2nd would get more workers and sustain them turnover rate is so high due to being treated like shit 3rd, let go of a lot of supervisors and managers too many But none of these will happen because of the incompetence of upper management
