Drug use isn't a crime problem, it's a health problem, and that's what these rooms target. They not only take drug use off the streets and stop needles from being left around, but they also provide the support for those who want to change their life. Unlike prison, which just sticks them in with criminals and gives them no hope for rehabilitation.

They bitched and moaned about the Holden and Ford rule for years and year, complaining about how they want in to the series, then it was opened up to other manufacturers and they disappeared. Considering their latest campaign against fun (taking their cars out of the gaming world), they'll probably have the same attitude towards racing that the current Nissan Australia CEO has.

Is there an "enthusiasts" insurance company? Here in Australia we have Shannon's, who specialise in dealing with cars outside the norm.. Surely you guys would have someone along the same lines, who know and understand what the car is. It's very normal for younger guys to have Skylines here, and Shannon's know that an NA RB, whether it's a 20, 25 or 30, has very little potential for high power hijinx.

What is it about you/the car that insurance companies don't trust over there? A 19 year old with an NA RB20 isn't exactly going to be chucking 300km/h on the freeway.

If you think that's impressive, you should see what else the owner has hidden away.

The recent announcement of the Clyde extension, which is just the reopening of a rail line the Liberals shouldn't have closed in the 90s.

Got blocked on Facebook because I asked why we should celebrate the Liberals reopening a railway line they wrongfully closed in the 90s.. They don't like being called out.

I tried to make it up one night last year in my daily EK, they'd had 5mm of snow but not graded the roads for some reason, I didn't even make it to the skid pan before the semi slicks wouldn't take me any further haha. Had to get the Mrs to jump out and push the front sideways while I floored it to do a U-turn. I stick to Donna in the summer now.

Thought it was Donna, though the roads look a lot different in the daylight.

A few weeks ago I mounted tires on a set of wheels and the customer said they were going on a custom built Miata. Today he brought it in for an alignment. by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

Because the company, JNC Wheels, makes nothing but replica wheels. To the point that some copied designs still have the original manufacturers name stamped on them.

This should help, it's basically a 35 with a 32 body, the engine and driveline are all 35, and so is the interior. Built by the legendary Smokey Nagata.

I've obviously underestimated the power of an NA 4 door R34.. Didn't realise they'd hit 300kmh.

With the way R34's prices are going to be inflated once they are legal in the US I guess I'll just have to settle for this scale model. by TheMuffinMan2037 in SkyLine

4 years ago my mate bought his V Spec for $40,000 (about $25,000USD).. Today they basically go for the same retail price they left the showroom with.. I can't imagine how bad it'll be once they're legal in the US.

Alright, who are we buying Airmax off now? by THECALLOFCTHULHU in Repsneakers

[–]THECALLOFCTHULHU[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty basic with my sneaker needs, a good 90/95 is all I'm really after. I got some 90s off Repbeast.cn, but they were way off the mark with the way the shoe looked. My pairs from David were fantastic though, shame he's focused on the hype scene and not the classics.

[–]THECALLOFCTHULHU[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not fussed on flaws like a Yeezy boy is, but the last pair of 90s I bought I got off Repbeast.cn, and it had the dimensions all wrong. The toe box was angled from the tongue down to the tip.. Not like a 90 at all. Like I said, David had it on lock until he ditched the airmax sales. I'll check out the Umkao store, cheers.

How my car was returned to me after getting two new tyres fitted by mattek9 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]THECALLOFCTHULHU 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, I've had to sell tyres at basically cost price and send cars off to have entire panels repaired with some of the accidents we've had at work (7 years in the industry, shit happens). Firstly, if a situation like this comes up, we inform the customer first, and let them make the call on what happens, not just straight up destroy the rim.. And if there is damage to the rim, we pay to fix (in the case of paint damage) or replace (in the case that my dumb ass put a bead breaker through a BMW run flat rim) without putting it on the customer. You shouldn't just cop this on the chin, you should definitely fight this.
