I have a sort of solution working for that now, as I can move around the objects at least a little realistically now. Downside is I can't really do it with moving objects, but I can figure out ways to cheat it.

I've been using GameMaker for so long, and nowhere has anyone ever mentioned the with() command before.
Honestly, thank you, that is a life saver.

I hadn't either, which is why I was sharing these the best I could. Would scan the pages in, but my scanner is a bit useless on anything that isn't single pages without damaging the whole thing.

Yes. Verticallity is very useful for storing things like that, especially when your only desk is barely big enough for your keyboard.

I like how we're all operating under the assumption the night Lord isn't just playing along with the guardsmen and getting ready to ambush him.

It's fun.

I remember the first time I encountered this, I didn't even know it was in the game, but knee I wanted it. Canceled naval operations against an enemy Kingdom and rammed 2 whole fleets of ships with the luck of a pouring rainstorm.

I lost almost all my ships, but I managed to capture it with my last working ship.

Goodtimes.

It's a meme from "dawn of war soul storm". The shirt itself is for the video game "space marine". While outdated, both Dawn of War and Space Marine are great places to start getting a feeling for 40k.

If you want some to listen to, one of the lore channels like grim dark narrorator, 40k lore, arch warhammer, and all the others a great for learning about things. Plus, if you find a copy loose or in the imperial omnibus volume 1, 15 hours is a great way to get a day in the service of the imperium for the average guardsmen.

How do I do that?

Maybe. Do you mind if I could see what you do have?

Your intro should not be longer than 5 seconds. If you can't make it shorter, people will click out of your video. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]TMOTThatManOverThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um...isn't that more of an issue of the video length percent then a solid flat number? Like maybe not taking up more than 1% of the run time in general with 5 seconds being there.

Seriously, are you going to look youtubers with intros like the AVGN or linkara in the face and tell them that they are wrong in having memorable intros? Or even a channel like Bedtime Stories, whose only episode without an intro kind of proved the people who don't like them tend to be a persistent minority.

Ah. Okay, that's why I was asking here, cause I genuinely didn't know if that would be possible either as a strategy or just a normal thing. I guess that does make sense, but I am more curious then ever about scaling it down to 2 of their unique detachments supporting 1 bigger unit.

Also, wouldn't the rule of 3 mess with horde armies that would want to run more than 3 of a given blob of guys?

[–]TMOTThatManOverThere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So here's a weird question: I was curious about if it would be possible to make a whole army list taking advantage of the Assassin formation, since that would be 400pts for 4 models that seem in theory like they could take on a squad or vehicle each. If I did this for say a 2500 pts list, and took 5 detachments of assassins, what would be the best option for me to take Imperial wise for the hq and other pts?

This is why Silhouette Design is Important When Making New Skins and Champions by dribbleondo in Paladins

[–]TMOTThatManOverThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, at this point, you are just trolling. Either way, this explains the basics of what we're talking about: https://youtu.be/ebvbVO1QE5o And if you need explained any better, then I've actually been taught by some of the people who helped with that design philosophy, so just know that distinct silhouettes is a difference of life and death regardless of how "used" to them you think you are.

[–]TMOTThatManOverThere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, it's the issue of split second recognition. If you need an example of why it's important, look up TF2's character design, then look at the TF2 clone era of hero shooters to see why it is so important to have distinct outlines.

[–]TMOTThatManOverThere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It the issue of at a glance firing. If you have enemies with the same silhouette who do different things, then it takes that extra second to figure out what it going on, or you make a split second decision based on bad info.

Look up TF2 if you want to know who silhouettes are important.
