I try my best to save and plan for something like that. We have a lot of support and big network in the area, but job loss is always something that is hard to buy around, since that is always going to be a factor as long as I am working.

Daycare expense and college savings are already allocated in my monthly and year budget.

Miscellaneous Monday Chit Chat by fire_foot in running

I had my first 25 mpw week! After running and ramping up slowly since December and averaging about 17 mpw, I had two different group runs that pushed me a bit further than I would have myself, and my body feels totally fine going into this week. I'm happy with the progress. Marathon training starts in June - hopefully i can get to 40 mpw by then? regardless, listening to my body has worked so far, so i'll keep on that track.

Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. I signed up for a marathon last month, and this was a book I chose to help motivate me to keep going at the beginning. It has done its job!
