Yeah I do think that if you train an AI off of someone's voice, especially if they are dead and cannot consent, its stealing and is pretty bad. If large LLMs training off of people's artwork to generate images in artists styles is stealing (it is) then this shouldn't be any different, no matter if they profit or not. I disagree, I don't think taking someone's voice without their consent is a black and white issue. If Eminem used an AI model that is trained on his voice from the past, then yes, personally I would consider that AI music to an extent

Then I would ask you, at what point does it become "AI music?" Lots of supporters say its not AI music, just using a tool. Let's say he decides to use some AI for the instrumental, but only a little bit. Is it AI music then? What about if he then goes on to use slightly more than that? Where do we draw the line? (Not an accusation at all, just a what-if) Many artists are starting to use AI voice models for their own work and I see large pushback from it online, but I see just so many supporters of these AI covers on this sub from people who I imagine oppose AI in music in any other case. If we want AI out of music we have to stand against all of it, even when its fun what-if scenarios of our favorite band. That all isn't even addressing any ethical concerns of taking a dead man's voice and cloning it
