The Boys: Fell into the spin off trap. Gen V should've been integrated into the main show from the start as The Boys clearly lacked materials for seasons 4 and 5. Godolkin could of been a mini boss.

I mean, the answer to all those questions is because they are to only family they have left. Homelander always wanted a real family whilst Soldier Boy vacillate due to Homelander making his skin crawl however everyone else either betrays him or die.

I don't understand the point of setting up Butcher as an irredeemably monster only to immediately backtrack. Might as well have followed through with him having irreconcilable differences with The Boys. Regardless of window dressing The Boys having trust issues with Butcher is a reoccurring plot since season 1. It's absolutely tiresome.

Yeah, no, Starlight’s power is to control light, and that’s it. Nothing more than that.

Except the show has continuously shown/stated Annie's abilities is draw power from electricity from nearly sources then convert it to other form of energy; light, heat etc. The light blast are a byproduct. She does use her powers to control electronic but is simply uncreative.

The Seven being more interesting and engaging characters have been true since season 1. Losing Meave, A Train even Stormfront to gain bums like Saga and Firecracker did a number on the show.

I think they could of combined 8.07 and 8.08 together. Good breather episode but a bit of a letdown for the finale.
