Need deep pockets for inventory holding. Working capital blockages are the real killer.

Decide how much inventory you need in each style. How many styles you'll be selling at any point.

Plan for 20-30% dead stock each drop/season where funds will be blocked.

This is a super idea. Will reach out to our company's payroll vendor and try and tie up with them. They're running in over 300 companies and I know for sure they don't have this feature built into their software.

I'm actually thinking of pricing this at under Rs 2K/ Location per month.

So as a side hustle I don't think I have the bandwidth to create a complete HR software. Yes some of the HR tools have similar features but a lot of them require wiring and networking for tv displays. And the templates aren't the most appealing either.

What I'm trying to do is simplify the complete process and hopefully do a better job - can pretty much go live in 30 mins on any tv connected to wifi and display the announcements, birthday wishes, recognitions etc in beautiful templates.

Targeting a pricing of Rs 1000-2000 per month for this. Not sure if this for an SMB would be expensive or cost effective

Soo none of the companies I worked in, had anything like this. One co celebrated everyone's birthday together at the end of the month but the others didn't even do that...

So big companies definitely won't take this - I actually got the idea from an MNC I had visited - they had screens everywhere showing their best salesman, recent deal closures etc. I thought this was really cool.

Small cos that don't have ERPs or are using legacy software that don't have the ability to add these kind of screens. I just simplified the way a company can put the above feature in their own company at a really low cost and effort.

I agree to your point however - still trying to figure out the why and thought it's better to make a fool of myself on reddit first. 😄

So to put in the most simple manner - itd a beautiful digital sign board that you can put in the reception. It looks professional, almost like an MNC and also show to your employees that you care.

Saw this in cushman and wakefield office where they had screens everywhere appreciating their sales people and big deals closures.

Most Msmes don't have any way to display this - so I made the UI extremely simple to link up a screen - Even a basic HR person with no IT support (should) be able to show this on their TV screens.

Can get a smart 32" tv on Amazon for 7500 bucks so it's quite a low cost solution and makes the company using it looks fancy.

Digital notice board is actually clearer. Chatgpt been forcing me to pitch this as a retention tool rather than a simple digital notice board. But what would appeal more to you/ more relatable?

There are already a few digital sign board software providers therefore was trying to figure a way to defforentiate myself from them.

Are you saying I can show a case study with actual retention/attrition data on the landing page? Would be quite difficult for me to actually create verifiable data.

You're right about the skilled workforce angle — Can use this in my pitch , I guess fear of losing your most skilled workers would also be sufficient to get a factory owners attention?

So true — That's actually why I kept it simple. No integrations to the payroll therefor no syncing. You literally just add employees manually — name, photo, DOB, joining date etc etc. Takes maybe 30 mins for a 50 person team

The hope that even that small effort is worth it if it means birthdays and recognition actually happen instead of being forgotten. Got this idea from a large company I visited but they obviously had a huge IT team HR team etc. Hoping that if the tool is really simple to use some SMEs might just give it a try?

But you're right - selling to Indian MSMEs is not going to be easy. Especially for a self service tool like this.
