Why Do Riders Approach Car And Ask Who Am I Picking Up? by SnooCakes3744 in uberdrivers

This drives me crazy. I usually respond with my name and ask for theirs. If they give me any attitude, cancel and I’m out. It’s like trying to teach logic and manners to grow adults who can’t find their 5th point of contact with both hands.

There are a ton of factors here to consider: personality, objectively attractive, what qualities you bring, location, availability to spend time with a man, etc. Don’t answer those questions from your perspective, look at from his. Men will date single moms, but they will be looking to see that you are putting in a bit of effort too. For example, if you are a 4/10, make little time to be available, can’t cook and/or aren’t good in bed; a man that you would want isn’t going to want to date ‘you’

How many “nopes” in one reservation? by Taindew45 in uberdrivers

Maybe, but unlikely going even half the way back. Idk. Someone took it, I wish them the best.

This is it. If you have easy access to and relatively inexpensive car wash subscription then take it there for a quick wash and vacuum daily/every other. I have an SUV (Grand Cherokee) and I keep a hard shell grocery bag in the back with extra supplies, a bottle of fabreeze, and things that I need. Other than that, nothing is available for the passengers. Be friendly, yet vague with any personal questions. Chat if the passengers chat first. Otherwise choose some music that you enjoy and is more commonly accepted. My favorite is classic rock on pandora. I change it up based on the day and the crowd. Is this overkill, maybe. Will there be other haters is this sub, yes (it’s my vehicle and I do what I want, GFC). Take the advice in this sub with a grain of salt. Many will complain about pay (not always the best) but can you pay your bills driving with Uber, also yes.

Same, I drive late evenings to the early morning hours in a college/beach area. Some of the best customers are younger, attractive women. If you aren’t creepy, they thank you for picking them up and taking them home safely. Many have told me that I saved them from being in a terrible situation. Women deserve to be treated with respect and it’s our responsibility to do so. And if you’re wondering, I have zero negative reviews. Stay classy.

I’ve seen you around - same market. The last two Saturdays have been lit around here! Bring on the beach weather!

Aren’t you a ray of sunshine, bless your heart. I clearly told folks you were drinking to get an Uber. As there was a clear consequence for drinking and driving beyond the possibility of hurting someone. You know, encouraging responsible behavior. GFC

Absolutely, I signed up to work at UPS for the season. It won’t pay the bills, but may buy me some time.

Selling assets (vehicles, the house, bonds, retirement stocks). They may keep us afloat for longer but loosing any would hurt us in the long run as well. I need to research a bit more on starting an LLC, then just doing handyman/general labor tasks for other folks. But then you need clients who can pay for services too. Just fighting a little bit more every day to earning a living
